Good morning from a very sleepy Imbri. We set the clocks ahead last night, and it always takes me a few days to get back into the swing of things. It always seems to fall on my weekend to work, too. It's a conspiracy, I tell you!

Sorry, that's what happens when I don't get enough sleep or caffeine. ;)

In other RL stuff, I scored an awesome find, which arrived at my house yesterday. I still have my Raggedy Ann doll from when I was a baby, as well as my copy of The Raggedy Ann Stories. I've been working on the rest of the books, but I found a near mint copy of a 1944 paper doll book. The thing looks as though it just came off the shelf. I carefully flipped through it last night, then it was placed back in the bag and board, and put on the shelf with my comics. I don't collect a lot, but there are some that I remember reading when I was little that I am gathering. Anyway, I did a little happy dance when I saw the package, because I'm a geek like that. ;)

Now, on to Hollowyn.

A mad dash to the island got me the bells I needed to finish construction on the café, and the Grand Opening was this morning. Lolly had beaten me to the counter, and we sat together to have our morning cup. Just need the Police Station to be built to finish the "business section" of town.

Pekoe was thrilled when I returned a book to her that I found while watering flowers. She's decided she needed a nickname for me and came up with "E-honey". *headdesk* Well, I guess it could be worse.

I got to hear K.K. Slider play for the first time last night. Each of the humans attended. I wish more villagers attended; Purrl was the only one.

I went back to Harriet and got my hair redone. I think it looks much nicer; what do you think?

I'm liking that outfit better than the last photo, as well. Once it unlocks, I'll probably get the contacts, but I'm not sure if I should go with green or blue. Or maybe brown would look best with the light green hair? I'll also try to get shots of the other characters, so I can figure out what color eyes to give them when the time comes, as well. Sometime around the end of the month.

I managed to get coconuts from an island tour yesterday, so I now have all of the tropical fruits. Still need some regular fruits, but I know that Salem has all of them, so once I dust that off, I can snag what I need. I also planted my pines in that northeast corner along the fence. Two went too close together, so I had to dig one up, but the others are all growing nicely. I think one more in the corner and then maybe I'll do another row that's staggered, so you won't really see the tracks. Still waiting on a log bench to be suggested, but I'm not in any real hurry to finish the spot.

I did get the lighthouse unlocked by Antonio this morning. I have a number of villagers who live along the cliff, so not sure where I could put it, unless it was east of Lolly's. I just need to make sure I can still jump from there, because that's my only spot. I want to finish paying off the basement and get some new rooms built first, though, so there's plenty of time to consider it.

Twiggy is in the campsite. I'm full up, and wouldn't take her anyway, but we played a game and I got a modern wood sofa. I already have the lamp and cabinet. Refurnished the lamp as "simple", which I like. I'll take the sofa and cabinet to Cyrus today and set them aside for one of the houses.

I hear you on clock changes. You'd think with the advances of modern technology it wouldn't be such a big deal when you work in a TV station, but apparently it messed us up somethin' fierce today.

I've always wondered about that. At least most of us get to sleep through it, but overnight workers must really hate it.

The spring forward part isn't so bad. We usually set the playlists to reset with the computer clock time and reboot the software. I was moved to morning (6am-2pm) shift so I wasn't there this time as I was dead to the world. I worked overnight during the fall though, and that was a real pain since we were on software about ten years out of date at the time. We had to set the lists to pretend it was a time that it wasn't, add an hour of paid programming (since let's face it, it's 2 am) and monitor it all through a 2 hour time shift. It decided to jump around on us a lot.

My station also runs for another time zone in addition to what we usually run, so it was around a 6 hour dilemma.

Ugh! Okay, I no longer have any right to complain about being sleepy/groggy when getting to my job at 7:30 anymore on time changes. lol

Truthfully, I don't really understand why we still have it. Yes, it's nice to have the extra bit of light in the afternoon, but it wouldn't take so much longer for it to catch up, naturally. *sigh* When I rule the world....

I hear you man. It's more of a hinderance than a help.

I woke up so late today as well. The clock on my computer is correct, but nothing else is and I haven't bothered to change it. It's really throwing us all off!

Texas is on Eastern Time now. This is shameful. They need to either stick with Daylight Savings time only or stick to Standard Time, but I don't want to see the clock switch again.

I left my wall clock on Daylight Time when DST ended, and I only had to adjust it a bit today for being five minutes behind.

Meghan - If I hadn't had to work, I wouldn't have been so worried about my clocks being changed. Hope you were able to catch up last night. :)

Apple - Changing the hour twice a year is bad enough; changing time zones would make me completely nuts! That makes absolutely no sense, at all.

Meep!

I think you had it right earlier - they need to just go back to Standard Time and everyone stay there!

Thankfully, I did! The only ones left to change is the one on Animal Crossing (how could I forget?) and one in my room. I'm so lazy in getting around to it... XD

At least I'm not the only one who geeks out when exciting packages are delivered to my home! XD And, ugh, yes, I'm totally with you on the time changes. They can be such pains. :p
I also love what you did with your villagers' hairstyles. Mine has remained the same blonde color for so long! I should change it sometime...
