only 70 dollars btw

I'd stick with wacom tablets. They're the most reliable in my experience. I've used bamboos, intuos and cintiqs. As well as several different brands. (I like testing tablets in person before buying one).

The bamboo is the more affordable tablet that wacom offers, so I think that's a good starter tablet.

ye i'd go with the bamboo too. ive had mine for a while and its really great for its price

I would go with wacom tablets too; they are the most reliable brand that there is. Mine is about 4-5 years old and is still working fine. I've heard people with wacoms for over ten years and they are still working perfectly despite daily use. One bonus is that the pen is wireless and does not need batteries. If you're comfortable with Craigslist or the likes, you might just find one at a really affordable price.
