I kinda regret getting club tortimer...
All the people I've run into on the island either come and leave 2 seconds after, or try to scam me,

Do you have any stories from club tortimer?

Sorry to hear it's been a really bad experience for you :( Hopefully that will change for you in the future.

I've had mostly positive experiences and met some pretty social players that I did some tours with. It was pretty fun and we all earned a lot of medals together. The only bad experience I had was that some guy disconnected while I had the wave breaker (which is also exclusive to the club), but I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt in case it was an accident.

People come and go to see what's for sale it's nothing personal!
I have good experiences with CT if anyone's an a** just do a tour and when you come back they'll be gone :)

One thing that happened was this: I was playing with 2 people then another arrived. No biggie. But then he clicked on a tour and cancelled over and over again. We couldn't move! Then someone flicked their switch, which was good! :)

I've had, for the most part, neutral experiences. Except for..

Positive: People will stop to compliment my Lion-Dance Mask.
Positive: I've arrived at the island several times, seen a rare piece of furniture, and somebody would play like 5 minigames in a row with me so we could both get the furniture.

Negative: Some girl tried to hit on me and kept calling me "baby" and it was creepy.
Negative: This has only happened once, but somebody played a minigame with me but then just stood there while I did all the work and only got a Silver Tortimer for it. They came back at the last second and said "thanks".

Hmm, never experienced it before since i rarely go to Club Tortimer.

If someone tries to scam me, i'll just tell that person:
"Why don't YOU pay me, or i'll put that screenshot of you trying to scam me in all ACNL forums i know!"

Nah, just kidding! But it's kind of a good idea to make fun of that person, isn't it? C:

Thats a good idea, but when i was getting scammed, the scammer told the other two people
That i was scamming -.-
And they all started hating on me

went out for like two minutes and hundereds of holes were dug around me, they had left by the time i got back

I went 3 times today because I just got the membership lol. First was afk, 2 didn't speak was English and went out the catch fish and last was Italian and spoke very good English, played a tour together

I can say luckily that so far, I've only run into nice people on the island. I even got a King's crown from some Japanese guy.

I've never come across a scammer but I almost wish I could lol. It would be fun to mess with them.

I never go on CT though, its almost always annoying little kids running around and following me.

I'm one of those that are in and out in a few seconds because I am only using CT as a shopping mall. I usually only do this in my region, though, at like 1am...there are not many on, except the third shifters that actually have Internet access.

Positive: rare items :D
Positive: AFK people for the anti-social me :D

Negative: It's not that bad, but the sheer awkwardness when neither of you can understand each other. Oh language borders...
Counter Negative: One time I met this Japanese girl, and we couldn't understand each other. We communicated through smiles o(^o^)o

I usually go to Club Tortimer to go to a night time town when it's day time in mine, so I pretty much always do international.

Sorry, I'm one of those awful people who just go in looking for rare items. I'm also shy and really bad at conversation, but at least I always say, "Hi!" and apologize that I'm just passing through if you take the time to say, "Hi!" back to me. I wouldn't mind doing tours if someone asked me, but I'm just super bad at initiating conversation myself. Ugh.

Pretty much everyone I run into are younger kids, judging by the fact that their names and town names are in all lowercase letters and that I usually see them doing the easy tours. I found someone who's town name was "bbbb" or something like that as well as "home." The only bad encounter I had was running into someone who I guess was trying to scam me, but he never said anything? He just went into his menu every time I tried to talk to Leilani to leave, preventing me from doing so. Then I tried to fake him out by going outside/shopping, and he just kept following me. I just flicked the WiFi switch without saying a word to him, so I'm hoping he lost some bugs or something at least.

I don't go there often
I'm not great with almost all of the tours and I had crashes in the wrong moments oh and I'm very slow with the keyboard
I hate creating troubles to others
I prefer planned encounters instead
so I can explain if I disappear because of the connection or other wrong things happen
definitely tour aren't for unsure people like me

I only went to Club Tortimer once (all I had time for; I don't have wifi at home and had to quickly leave the place where I was using wifi) and I must say I didn't like my experience. I had intended to just go to see what was for sale, but someone else was there so I wandered around for a while because I didn't want to be rude... The guy asked what my town was so I told them, then they said "No I mean in real life" so I decided to ignore him, because I didn't want to give out my location to some stranger on the island. Then he asked "didn't you listen" (or words to that effect), so I just caught a shark and then left.

I would have probably asked, "why? Are you some pedophile looking for a cheap date?" Then just gotten myself out. Those are the types that give games like this a bad rap for adults to be playing.

I go to CT just to see what is for sale. I try to do it in the middle of the night 2-4am and pick North America only. I don't really like the mini games and only do them back on my own island to get enough medals to buy the things I want. I like to fish and hunt for bugs but I don't like being timed. I like the slow pace of it not the rush around to get as many as possible to get a lot of medals.
