So when Jacques moved in, I was decorating his home and threw Rover's suitcase outside just cause he was the newest resident. When it came for someone to move out, I had adopted Goldie from the campsite meaning he was up for moving out. And for about 9 days out move out bubbles, he was chosen like 7 times (once Filbert, once Reneigh) which was extremely annoying since he isn't leaving yet or maybe never leaving since he is easily the best song bird.

I saw the suitcase and was like "Maybe he's getting the wrong idea with that as his decor outside his door" and picked it up. I then went to Wolfgang and placed it outside his home last night since I was planning on Wolfgang or Groucho to go. Today Wolfgang asked to leave!

I found this... interesting. Obviously it would probably would of already been data mined and revealed if true, but it sure did make it feel like the suitcase played a factor.

Lol, yes, that's a coincidence. A funny one, but still just a coincidence- you're right, if there was ANY way to increase chances of a specific villager moving, it would be ALL over the internet by now. But the human mind is programmed to find patterns and hates randomness, so it's natural to try and make sense of coincidences. But it's still just random. A few things influence villagers moving, but furniture placed around their homes isn't one of them (and all the things that do only affect it so much, anyway)

wait, that's what the suitcase is for?
It's just a decoration that you could win from the May Day event.
