Collecting Materials (foraging), Leif's job/duties?

So I watched the Treehouse ACNH walk through (again, again haha) and the content actually sunk in more that I'm getting used to how beautiful it looks.

☆〜（ゝ。∂）Things noticed:

☆彡When they're using the flimsy axe on the tree to collect hardwood and wood, you can exhaust that particular tree of supplies.
☆彡When using the flimsy shovel on the rocks, it's to work the same way we would either strike gold or ore, you have to make a combo of hits to keep getting stone and clay.

☀︎This means, before we plant more trees, our resources will be limited.
(I'd love to know what goodies like in cedar and coconut palms!)

☆彡Tom Nook is again selling flowers and saplings during the start of the game but they're just basic.
I'm hoping that when Tom or Isablle calls Leif, the variety will be so much more than NL.
Leif had such a tiny corner it was awful! ーEven after expanding the store...
☆彡I've also noticed a lot... LOT more weeds.
We can make money from weeds, I think we need them for crafting but aesthetically, if we don't want too many of them, I hope there will be options to limit their growth.
☀︎Will Leif sell us weeding spray?
☀︎Will Leif actually garden in a designated area or generally around the island?
☀︎Will there be a solution to keep the island flora vibrant without having to water every single flower?
☀︎Will the villagers help us water all the flowers if we give them each a designated area to look after?
If we all chipped in, the island would be beautiful!
☀︎Will fertiliser be useful in aiding trees grow in areas that AC Lore forbids?

Just some other tidbits:

Obtaining DIY recipes
☀︎Through villagers
☀︎Through buying at shops - that's right, they said shops, plural!
So I'm guessing we're going to have a whole bunch of them!!!
☀︎They'd like for us as, players to teach each other recipes too!
☀︎The didn't show us the sky last time... The American lady asked and they just didn't show it (maybe there was a problem?) so looking forward to that so much!!!

Sorry if this post is a little all over the place my thoughts are racing and I tried to spread them out nearly to share and I'm also really sorry if anyone has made posts about this! I'm just so eager for an AC direct!!!

Oh wow this all sounds so exciting! Now you have me wondering why they didn’t show the sky? I’ve seen a couple theories that we’ll be able to use both analog sticks to walk around and control the direction of the camera.

I do hope they give Leif more to do!

I hope that there is a lot more to crafting than they’ve shown us. For instance, I’d love to spend time traveling to different islands which offer different materials and DIY recipes.

One thing that I’ve always loved about Stardew Valley/Harvest Moon was the foraging and crafting element to it. But I just can’t stand the fact that the game runs on its own clock, and it goes so fast! I’d have sooo much fun spending hours exploring different islands and collecting materials with a real-time and laid back clock like Animal Crossing. Especially with New Horizons looking so beautiful, too!

Are you me? Hahaha I had the same problem with Harvest Moon! Especially Magical Melody - that clock was super fast! I played up to Animal Parade and didn't finish the others yet! But I also looove collecting and finding materials! I especially loved mining for ore and precious stones! I really, really hope there's a cave around the island or near it so we can go into and do this, as well as dive in the caves water too!

I wonder if we're able to expand our backpacks for a larger inventory like in HM?
Also I wonder if some outfits/accessories/wigs may need special materials to made too? ( ✧︎Д✧︎) ｷﾗｰﾝ
