Today was a very successful day on Animal Crossing for me! I was able to continue working on my paths and was able to move Reneigh to her new spot! We had A LOT of fun and successful trades on Nookazon, paying off some bridges and inclines for new players. Finally getting my hands on the DIYs for the knitted grass backpack, starry garland, and wooden stool totally made my day! I am hoping to move out a couple villagers soon even though I love them all so much!! I just want some fresh faces. I will be keeping most of them, but I think I want to replace Ruby, Reneigh, and mayyyybeeee Pietro. They're all such great villagers, but I think it's time to change things up a little bit. I believe I have all the reactions and I'm not too worried about finding DIYs, so I think letting some move out will be worth it in the end.
Reneigh was one of my starters so her house is just awful. I felt super lucky getting one of the new villagers, but Shari is enough Uchi for me. Reneigh is great, but she's always been one that I've said I can live without, but then when they ask it's like "nooooo don't leave me!!!" I think letting her go is best though.
Ruby was one of my early villagers so her house is ADORABLE, but I'm not sure she is the peppy I want. I'm not even sold on the idea of having a peppy to begin with. I'm much more drawn to the snooty and normal personalities. We'll see though. She's super cute and fun, but it might be time to let her shine somewhere else! I have her amiibo card so I can always get her back.
Pietro would be a hard one to get rid of, but I'm just not in love with smug villagers. They really don't appeal to me. If he was a lazy I think I'd keep him for forever because I LOVE clowns. However, he's smug and I just don't enjoy him as much as I thought I would. I also have his card so we can always scan him back in!
I'm looking at Melba, Ozzie, and Dobie for future villagers. I'm also considering starting a second island to do a different themed island so there's always room to move them over to that one instead.
All in all today was a good AC day. I'm finally in spot with bells that I'm not worried about running out and I'm no longer stressing over turnip prices. Pave is coming soon so all is well in Coral Cay!
Haven't been able to play too much today, we've time traveled forward a day so tomorrow is Stitches' brithday!!
We worked more on our paths and terraforming, I think it's all finally coming together. I feel like I finally have a good idea about how I want the whole layout to look.
We're going to spend a little bit of time tending to our flowers as we grind some more for our pink and orange flowers. I need to harvest some of these gold roses and give them away or something.
I think after Pave comes next weekend we will time travel to get rid of the snow. I can't stand it anymore and I want to see what everything looks like without the snow. I can't believe this game has been out for a year already! I feel like it was just a couple months ago that I was taking vacation from work for my birthday and the release to stay home and play.
I think we might also hop on Nookazon to pay some mortgages or something today or maybe do some grab bags.
It was a very slow AC day, but that's okay. Sometimes it's good to take a much needed break to pick back up after a couple days and get back to it.
I've been so distracted and busy lately with work and just exhausted from all the horrible weather we've been getting here that I haven't been able to play much.
Today though! We got some great things done
Also, a cute little picture from Stitches' birthday the other day, I had to make sure I played that day to give him a gift and see who he was partying with and of course it was Bones. Such lazy boys dancing around.
Pietro asked to move out and even though I've been thinking about moving him out, I just couldn't do it!! I just love having a clown around, hopefully the next villager that asks to leave will be one that I'm okay with having leave. fingers crossed
I ended up doing MORE terraforming and adding another waterfall up my pool area, but I'm not sure how much I love it. We also moved the shop so we can terraform it's initial spot to add it up on a cliff. I have a pretty good idea on how I want it to look, i just hope it doesn't end up looking bad.
Tonight we had quite a few visitors come by to pick up some mystery bags and I stopped by a couple peoples islands to pay off mortgages and bridges/inclines. I love going to see other peoples islands when doing that, some people really seem to have their islands together. Even the islands that aren't over terraformed and super natural so many are just so well designed. It makes me feel a little extra haha.
It's also the Lunar New Year in the game so that's a fun day! I'm ready for Pave and all his glory to come by this weekend, I time traveled so he'll be on my island Sunday and I can't wait!! All the Festivale furniture works so well with my tropical vibe, so I'm having a great time collecting all of it and using it around the island.
We set up a great little surf shop with some of the stalls and string lights, I just love it all so much. The vibrant colors are really starting to come out and it just looks so great! I think after Festivale I might TT to Sakura season and really work hard on finishing up my island with the beautiful cherry blossoms. The tropical vibes will be POPPING off.
I'm so glad I had a productive day in the game today, it felt so good to get all those things done and wow I love helping other players out and giving them some great little goodies! The grab bags are so fun to get and give. Even if you get less desirable items, it's still fun to just see what you get.
Tomorrow will hopefully be another great night of terraforming and trading on Nookazon and helping out other players.
I can't wait to get back to the game tomorrow, but for tonight I think we're done! Here's to hoping Flick is dropping by tomorrow, I need more and more bug models haha!
Today started early for me as I couldn't sleep in any longer and I ended up waking at like 6AM... So figured what the heck let's start the party now and boy was it adorable.
Here are some photos from this years Festivale
After we celeverated with Pave for a few hours around noon my time I decided I was done with snow and missed the green grass and I was determined to move someone out today and get Ozzie. I went in knowing that I wanted Ozzie or Melba but would happily settle after a long time of hunting for Nana who I love and adore, but I have her amiibo so hunting for her is useless.
Well..... wasn't it a long journey that lasted ALL day. We tt'd until Reneigh was ready to move out and since she was a starter villager I thought why not let her move out and go move somewhere where she can have an actual house she likes lol
She moved out and then we gathered up our NMTs and decided the hunt was on. I have a few hundred NMTs so I was prepared to spend quite few so I started with 80...
Villagers I saw that I thought about taking:
Tipper at least 5 times
Norma
Marina
Kiki
Popular villagers I walked away from that the internet would cancel me for:
Marina twice
Dom
Raymond
Molly
Judy
The first 80 tickets brought me NOTHING, zilch, nada. I was double browsing nookazon for Ozzie, Melba, and Nana ready to put an offer in and I did put a few offers in but sellers were unresponsive so I was getting tired.
I decided to grab 30 more tickets to see if I could pull something off and if anything settle on the first super cute villager I saw aka: Tipper, who I am considering getting.
Then with 10 tickets left we saw him, right there
Look how absolutely ADORABLE he is. My heart was literally about bust! 100 NMTs and about 3 hours of island hopping. I couldn't be happier about finding him, that makes 3 lazy villagers on my island with Bones and Stitches. I am just so elated and happy that I was able to get a dreamie today and that I was actually able to let a villager move out. i usually say no and make them stay lol.
Next villagers we will be moving out will be Ruby and Pietro.
Who will replace them? I have no idea but I do know it will be someone we scan in with an amiibo because I can't do it again lol
It was a great day in Coral Cay today! And the grass is green again!
After all the tt'n I did the WEEDS were awful so I hopped on Nookazon and paid a nice fellow to come pick up the weeds for 1.5 million bells! He got them all cleaned up and then we had a great little photoshoot together.
Here's one last picture of me and Bones from winter.
