Cozy games

I don’t know if this is what you’re looking for, but I really enjoyed the My Sims game for the Wii. Keep in mind that the Wii version is different from the DS version, so much that I didn’t like the handheld version. I know it’s an old game, but I actually preferred it to all Animal Crossing games and in my opinion, has aged very well. If you have a Wii or even a Wii U (which I believe is backwards compatible), I’d highly recommend picking up a copy to at least try. It can’t hurt.

I'm a huge fan of cozy games, I've tried many, bought several and look forward to more. Here is a list of the games I own on the Switch. If you also have a nintendo 3ds I recommend all the games released for the 3ds of "Story of Season"/Harvest moon or Rune Factory. Also if you like the fashion I recommend the Styling Star/New Style Boutique series, it's a really relaxing game. I won't dwell too much on 3ds but lastly I mention Yo-kai Watch(1, 2 and 3), they are very relaxing as well as fun. Moving on to the ones for Switch:
-My time at Portia
-Ni no kuni 1 and 2
-Grow
-Kitaria Fables
-Spiritfarer
-Pine
-Hazel sky
-Forest camp
-Abzu
-Ori
-Potion Permit
-Let's build a zoo
-Strange Horticulture
-Pokemon let's go Pikachu and Eevee

Some I have only tried but I liked them all!

These however are the ones that have yet to come out and that I really look forward to:
-Coral Island
-Immortal life
-Kitori Academy
-Story of Season a wonderful life
-Witchbrook

If you haven't already I would say any of the Animal Crossing games!! I also recommend Stardew Valley and Cozy Grove. One I DEFINITELY would say is Rune Factory! I LOVE Rune Factory 4 on the 3DS but they also ported it to the switch, there is even a new Rune Factory 5 I never played so you should try one of those games!

I picked up Stardew from the e-shop yesterday when it was on sale. Looking forward to starting it!

My personal favorites...

- Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns (I have this emulated for my DS, and the actual cartridge itself. The game was pretty cheap but I found that out after using an emulator)

- Stardew Valley (I have so many hours in this game. I find it very relaxing and I actually played it SO MUCH that I got burnt out from it and haven't touched it much since.. I also like using mods for it, if you're a PC player like me c: )

- Bear and Breakfast (I do believe this is on the Switch along with being on the PC. One of my favorites. It's like running your own motel as a cute little bear. Very fun and comfy.)

- Cozy Grove (LITERALLY HAS THE NAME COZY IN IT. It's got lots of challenges but the thing is, it's like Animal Crossing when it comes to time traveling. But a lot worse. If you set your PC to the next day and go back once you're done, there's a risk of save file corruption. It stinks..)

- Unpacking (available on Switch and PC. Maybe even mobile, not sure. It's pretty much in the name itself. You unpack your characters belongings in game to make them look nice and neat and there's even a gif option once you're completed to save your work as a gif !!!)

i don’t have any specific suggestions, but I think if there’s any games/stuff you used to do as a kid that you have fond memories of they are always worth repurchasing and playing as comfort games.

To me Pokémon HGSS and mystery dungeon games are comforting - which I think is largely because of the older vibe they have now. I guess pixel/older games may be comfortimg if that’s your vibe! Have a look around for indie games/ one off games from lesser known companies. I find more often than not that they’re are really well made and have a certain charm to them that bigger mainstream games sometimes lack.
