My guy's in boxes, meaning if he doesn't get convinced to move to another player's town today, then he won't be taken by another player. Thus, it has to be done today.

Oh, I just remembered: I actually got one of my inhabitants from another person's town, even though I did not talk to anyone in boxes before; thus, it's not completely true that the scenario I mentioned would make transfer to another player's town 0%. I don't know how that works, though.

Nope you can't ask villagers to move in if your village has 10 houses down still! After his house is completely gone, then you have ask people!
