Hi! I think I should improve on my art cause well.. its not that good lol. This is one of my first digital drawings! I drew my mayor.I think its okay I guess, the lines are really shaky and the blending isnt the best...Oh yeah and also I did this on a laptop XD I only used the mousepad and my finger so the struggle was real. I really want to improve so can someone critique my work and possibly give me some tips? I am open to anything! Also does anyone know any good drawing/painting sites? I have been trying to find something free that I don't have to download. Thank you so so much!

I'm not an artist myself, but I think it looks really cute! <3 It's much better than anything I can ever do on a laptop. The only bit of critique I can give is that the face looks a little slanted (especially the right eye) and the lines get a lot more wobbly there. Apart from that, the lines looks pretty good to me!

Honestly if you really wanna get better you need a better program. You're probably gonna have to download something.
But here's something I found that's solely online: https://sketch.io/sketchpad/ Not bad, for an online program!

I think just keep on drawing. Think about starting a freebie thread, it's great for stepping out of the norm and drawing more diverse characters. Practicepractice and p r a c t i c e. It's really the best method to get better, though.

You're really good as is, just keep drawing and you'll get even better :]

Thank you! I was actually thinking about starting a freebie thread. And hopefully I get a better computer to start downloading softwares (maybe this Christmas! fingers crossed!) Thank you so much! :D

Honestly, drawing with the mouse is going to impede your progress. My life literally changed when I invested and bought myself a tablet. Yes, I know that some will say that the tools don't make the artist, and while I agree, I think having good equipment or materials (whether you do traditional or digital art) can really help one improve.
Another thing is practice - draw whenever you can and never give up. Trust me, you'll see improvement within a few weeks if you just keep at it.

Ah. Forgot to mention that. Same here, when I got a Wacom it was such a huge difference. I later moved on to my actual tablet (it has a pen) because it's a lot easier for some reason. Anyways, I say invest in a Wacom if you really wanna get more serious about it.
