Cross Breeding Flowers?

I've heard talk about cross bred flowers. I just don't know how to do that. Any help, please? Thanks!

put two flowers next to each other (red roses and white roses)
then water them and in a long while there will be a pink rose or another red/white rose

Put two flowers of the same type next to each other and a new flower will pop up. Depending on what colors you put, differet colors will pop up.
Example:
Roses:
red+red=black or red
red+white= pink, red, or white
red+yellow=orange,yellow, red
white+white=purple or white
purple+black=blue

(color combinations vary depending on what type of flower)
