Dancing crankies?

the reason why I love Boyd so much is because he's the only cranky I've had who's danced along with me whenever I've used a dancing reaction in his vicinity. it positively surprised me to such a degree that he's quickly become one of my favorites (which I did not expect to happen at all. the way he shimmied his way into my heart! the little rascal). all other crankies I've had have smiled at my antiques at most but they've never joined in like that. I'm curious to know if you've ever had a cranky who's mimicked any of your reactions like that? and it doesn't only have to be dancing, for instance Boyd did the happiness reaction with the flowers popping up all around him too. it was a truly heartwarming display!

I might have to go island hopping for Chief if that's the case. you meant he dances along with you right? just making sure that's what you meant, cuz I've had my fair share of crankies feeling the groove while singing a little tune but always on their lonesome. I'll never forget the first time I saw Boyd doing the Festivale moves... I think I wheezed for a good ten minutes. 'twas glorious!

Not with me that I know of, but he does sing an awful lot. He sings more than all my other villagers. I always catch him by the ocean or rivers singing a tune.

You may already know this, but for those who may not, this is related to subtype!

Cranky A have a medium social level which means they are more likely to respond or copy your reactions. Cranky B have a low social level and barely react (ignore the jock subtypes in the image, all jocks are high social level).

Most cranky villagers I've had have been subtype B, but I do have an A right now (Gonzo!)

you just blew my mind! I had no idea the dancing was related to subtypes, this is awesome. I have to say, I had no idea Dobie still had it in him! I've always loved the cranky personality as a whole but this just bumped the subtype A crankies up to S+ tier in my book. also, I have newfound respect for Gonzo. that koala's alright

Absolutely second this. I had Chief on my island for a long time and he sings all the time (his hobby is singing) and dances too. He's a great bright sunshine of a cranky. I currently have Frett who also loves to sing too.
