Dancing villagers?

Here I am again, in the midst of all the amiibo discussion, to ask a gameplay question that is probably really silly

When you complete a design, you get this cute little montage, and I've seen screenshots of villagers breaking out instruments and dancing along. I've only managed to have this happen once (and the furniture blocked the view so I couldn't take screenshots ).

Does anyone know of tips or ways to get the designs good enough for them to dance? I've been looking for villager reactions whenever I place furniture, placing lots of hearts and clapping items, matching items etc, but I just can't make the party happen!

If you pick them up and put them in front of an item they sometimes interact with it

Does that do anything for their final montage, though?

The two instances I saw in a video of them playing maracas or a tambourine was when they had a music player in their room (Goldie was playing maracas and subsequently a tambourine to her phonograph during the montage, and one of the male antelope-deer [Lopez?] was playing tambourine to his hi-fi stereo). So if you wanna see dancin', I suggest trying to put a music player in your rooms if you're not already doing this.

I've been testing this, and it indeed depends on whether or not you have a music player in the room!
