Hi everyone!

I was thinking about creating a picturebook for my island here. I take so many pictures of my island, and I do have an animal crossing insta where I share them but sometimes I want to upload a bunch at the same time, but then again I don't because I don't want to spam my followers their feed. So I decided to make a picturebook here!

and so I say: Welcome to Palplace!

I'll introduce myself with little random notes and stories. I started my adventure on March 20th, 2020. I had been wanting a Nintendo Switch for years, but since I'm currently a college student I felt like it was bad timing and I would spend too much time gaming instead of working. But when I saw that limited edition Switch I just had to! I've loved Animal Crossing since I was a child, and the joycon colors really spoke to me (they still do ahhh I love my Switch so much). Now, 3 months later, I have developed my island mostly and have been playing a little less lately (currently 450 hours in) because of school and work. For anyone wondering, I'm an applied architecture student currently enrolled in my second phase (one more year to go!), also why my characters title is 'Animal Crossing Architect' ^-^

But you know, I said I developed my island mostly... basically means that I now want to create new spots! I feel like my island will never be fully finished, as I will constantly want to change little things here and there. That's what I love about New horizons, the game will never feel finished to me because you can keep changing things up. I absolutely love decorating my island! I think most of my time playing has gone into item trading, decorating and flower breeding. Now, 3 months into the game, I have collected all the flowers and bred them all myself! Except for the green mum. I have them on my island because I wanted to start decorating with them, but I haven't bred them myself. It's taking forever to, my island is overflowing with purple mums ): (at this point I'm selling them to Nooks because even my beach is full of hybrids) you'll see my hybrid covered island in my pictures for sure!

I'm going to leave this post at this. I know I just posted a lot of text lol, but from now on it will mostly be pictures

Hello! it's been a few days since my last post.
Let me tell you what I did on my island today...

Lately I've been playing more again, mostly decorating my island and letting people visit for watering my flowers or for trades. I actually played online a lot today! Maybe I should start by introducing some of my friends. I found myself with extra time on my hand, and decided to start a little service shop where people could hire me to water their flowers, pull the weeds or just whatever they needed help with. After putting my service shop online, someone wanted me to water their flowers. In return they would water my flowers. When I accepted, we added eachother on Discord because that way talking would be easier. Me and (now my friend) Zee started trading watering daily, and she added a third person to our watering group, named Spooky. It's been a month or so now, and even though daily life, work and school get in the way sometimes we still play together almost daily! I love playing with them and we have made some really cute pictures together ^-^ pictured left to right: Zee, Me, Spooky)

Today I played the bug off with previously mentioned friend Zee. We ended up playing for hours, until both of us got 300 points and a gold throphy! Playing the bug off event together was so much fun, way more fun then it would have been playing alone. Flick also gave us bonus points for playing together, and there was no entry fee when you play multiplayer (thanks Flick!) I got all the items and the duplicates of the items that I wanted! How cute are all these items?! The only ones I don't see myself using are the bug cage bag and the spider doorplate, all the others are great!! I loooove the bug wand omg adorable!! and that artisanal bug cage and termite mound? AMAZING. I'll post pictures where I use the items as decoration soon c:

I also toured someone around my island today! I made a friend through trading a while ago, and she said she really liked how pink themed my island looked, just from seeing my entrance and the airplane overview. I told her I'd show her arund sometime, and that I posted pictures of my island on my instagram. We started following eachother there and liking eachothers pictures, she's so nice! But I had never actually toured her around. So that finally happened today! She was so sweet and gave me so many compliments ;-; I took so many cute pictures of us together too!! can't wait to post them on instagram too! I mean, look how our outfits even match my (mostly) pink and blue island T^T

I also made a new little waterfall cliff on my island yesterday. You can kinda see the entrance to it in the previous picture with Skye. It is located behind my resident service, which I thought was a difficult spot to decorate, and in front of Skye's and benjamin's house. I had a little BBQ area there first, and I didn't dislike it, but whenever I would fly over my island and I saw it I thought it looked so weird/dull/flat. Now that I made this little hill I really love flying back home and looking at it!

Today was also the first day I got 5 people to water my flowers, and the golden sparkles are so pretty!! Looks like magic omg, I'm so curious if I will FINALLY get a green mum. I truly hope so.

I also just realised that I can only post 10 pictures in onze post. sad

Other then that I completed some trades. So, long story short I had another fun day living in Palplace

Hi again! It's been a while since my last post. I had been very busy with school, so I didn't have much time to play ACNH.

Let me ramble a little about my personal life again. I'm happy to report that my final schoolproject went great, and I passed all my exams! I still need to receive the actual scores, but the teachers told me how great everything went (I'll know all my scores tomorrow!) I also already know 2 of my grades. I can proudly say that my last 2 projects of my most important class have gotten amazing feedback (like, actually unbelievably amazing). When I started studying Architecture last year in september 2018 I knew absolutely nothing about it, all I knew was that I was intrigued and interested in the field. I got through my first year with 'okay' scores (got a final total of 11/20 on my most important class, which is actually considered fine here in Belgium, because just passing is already difficult lol) Now, I can proudly say that this year my final 2 projects got an 18/20 and a 19/20! Can't believe it tbh. Even got compliments from my teacher about my growth in the field, and how he thinks I'm already good enough to come work at his bureau (like, what???). Getting a comment like that from your teacher is the biggest compliment! His comment actually led to me asking him if I could have my internship at his bureau and he said yes! I'm so stunned by how well everything is going it's crazy.

But enough about school now! Let's talk Animal Crossing! ^-^ I played a lot yesterday, and finally was able to discover how FUN swimming and diving in ACNH is! The animation looks so good, and the sounds are weirdly refreshing to listen to, it sounds like I'm actually in the ocean swimming! So that was fun. I didn't see Pascal though ): I'll have to try again another day, but haven't had much time for swimming as I have been completing some trades and watering people's flowers today. I've also been busy decorating my second players' house some more. It's a themed house that is supposed to be a hotel! I think my lobby is fairly done, and so are 2/3 rooms. The third room is still a work in progress! The upper floor isn't fully finished, but I'll still show you some pictures ^-^ the basement is temporarily done, untill I figure out what to add next!

Writing this now, I just realised my hotel doesn't have a name yet. I feel like hotels should have names. I'll come up with a name later, because my brain is not cooperating atm >.< anyway, I've had so much fun making interior pictures! Hope whoever sees this likes them ^-^

Hi everyone! It's been a while since my last post (again). Been busy in real life, going to work and doing stuff with friends. I haven't been playing very much ): I could count on one hand how many days I haven't played since launch, but not anymore :c though I think it's around 7-10 days, which still isn't alot lol, I really try to play every day!

when I do play, I tent to timetravel quite a bit, just because I want to replay the days that I missed, and I want to get the most out of the game (like seeing Pascal every single day!) so it's usually a lot of going back-and-forth around the actual IRL date. This also means that my chance of seeing a campsite visitor is quite high. And while usually they aren't very appealing to me, or I just don't want them on my island, I made an exception for my last visitor... you'll see why

here are a few of my past visitors:

Nora: I wish I had taken her! but I lost the game and she said she didn't want to move in, and I didn't know you could keep talking to them until they actually wanted to move in :c I think she's very cute and would've really fit in!

I don't remember his name. I don't have to remember, because I don't like him lol. He looks like a gross gym teacher that smells bad, and is covered in cheeto dust. ):

Mathilda: not sure why I'm making a sad face lol. I would never move her in, but I do think she looks cool and would fit in a very halloween or creepy/dark island theme. She's cool!

Ricky: when I first saw him I wasn't very enthousiastic lol. I like his fun colors, but that face just makes me laugh. I had a friend visit me this day, and when she saw him in my campsite she was so happy! She said: 'omg Ricky! he was in my New Leaf town, I loved him so much!' so now my memory of this guy is that he brings happy memories to my friend ^-^

Elvis: I like him! I had him in my 'let's go to the city' game, so he just reminds me of the past. I think his design is cool too! though I don't think he would fit in my current town/island.

Beardo: I surprisingly liked him! I didn't think I would, but his fun blue fur made me so happy. Again, didn't move him in, but I did really like him lol!

Hippeux: I had already rejected him before during island hopping, and you know darn well that I was going to reject him again now. He's just so....., ._. not my kind of villager LOL

Chief: ahhh my baby! I didn't have a cranky villager at this time and he was PERFECT I fell in love instantly. 'then why are you crying in this picture?' you might ask. Well I had played the game with him and won, so he could move in to my town. When he asked who to replace he choose Diana. And that just wasn't going to happen, I don't have her amiibo and I'm planning on keeping her forever so NOPE. Me being dumb and not properly knowing how to use the campsite method, I finished our convo, then closed the game and tried again. After repeating the stupid card game for like 10 times, he kept asking to replace Diana. When i looked up how to properly use the campsite method, I learned that you shouldn't finsh the conversation or else they will keep asking to replace that villager. I was so so sad, but had already set my mind on Chief. So I got his amiibo and got him to move in that way, problem solved! (I did waste HOURS playing that card game, time I'm never getting back T^T)

Another villager that I don't remember the name of. He looks like an emo horse, so that was another pass for me lol.

Huck: what a cutie! a bit of a weird mouth lol, but I like his colors and 'don't care' face! didn't move him in though

PART 2 OF MY CAMPSITE VISITORS

as a little recap: so far I've only moved in Chief! (and not even through first random campsite visit but through amiibo)
oh also, my very first campsite visitor (you know, the one you can't reject) was Camofrog! I didn't love him at first, but he was actually pretty cute. His interior was also really nice! I liked him, but moved him out ASAP because I wanted dreamies

and now, continuing my visitor list:

Mira: I think she is (one of) my coolest campsite visitors. I really like her theme, her look, her colors, very fun villager! just (again) not for my town lol. I also just get really attached to my residents, so letting them go for someone new is a little hard. But I really liked Mira! she's cool

Hazel: she's cute! I like her color scheme a lot, it's very cute c: but not big enough of a fan to let her move in lol,

and now.. my most recent campsite visitor, the first one that I actually moved in! (if we don't count Chief)

Raymond: yes, the king of ACNH graced my campsite with his presence lol. To be honest, I was expecting him to visit me because I don't have any smug villagers. I actually never understood the Raymond-hype, but I knew when he visited me that I had to take him in. Even if I didn't like him, I could always move him out and do a giveaway. BUT, I actually really like him now! he's such a cutie, and I can't believe that I ended up liking him so much. Oh, and after playing the game he ofcourse had to replace someone.. there's no one living on my island right now that I wanted to move out, so it was hard deciding who to move out. (kinda) fortunately, I didn't have to decide who to move out. He asked to move out Chief, and while yes, he was still fairly new to my island, that also meanth that I hadn't put much effort/time/gifts into Chief, so it didn't feel like I lost a lot of progress. Once I get a new picture, Chief is coming back though! (thank you amiibo) I just couldn't let Raymond go. I'd be crazy right?

he's so cute and he really knows how to pose! I love taking pictures of him. Today I had just finished my outdoor music set and he just knew to walk around there so I could take cute pictures for my instagram (thanks Raymond!)

Hi everyone! I'm going to try posting daily here ^-^

Collectibles
I haven't played much New Horizons today, but I have been active on the forum! I've just been reading up on a lot of stuff, and discovering some new things. I've decided to get more into the collectibles, and made myself a little lineup. I do have a few different options though, because I'm not fully sure on them yet. I also used a bunch of collectibles that I already own c:

like I said, I haven't fully decied yet lol, but this is kinda what I'm going for! I still need to collect more TBT, and find someone that sells a pink lilly or a pink rose (with a proper date) instead of owning 2 pink carnations lol, but overal I think I could collect all of these!

I took quite a few cute pictures these last few days! I kinda want to edit them before posting, but that's for instagram lol. I feel like in this thread I can post more freely then on Instagram lol.

but I guess she wanted to chill in Cookie's and Ruby's garden this time

I put on a new summer outfit! I don't change my outfits very often, but when I do I always love it.
I tried to match my new music set with this summery and breezy look!

This is the entrance to the outdoor musical set btw! it's quite a walk there, but I really like it.
I might make it a bit less flowery in the future though. Also, hi Skye! she's so cute aw

this part of the path is a bit after the first entrance, again many black flowers and some other natural elements!
I have the moon on a little rock there, I never planned on placing one there but just did it once when I had to empty my pockets, and I actually like it there now! I might move it in the future though. I also love the mama and papa bear! they are so cute ^-^ I tried placing a giant teddy bear there but that felt like too much lol

Agnes being a cutie on the beach! She loves to run around like this, she's so playful!
I also recently changed my playground gym t this monochrome color, it was the blue variant before.
I'm not sure if I like this one better or not? I guess time will tell, but this one does really make my beach more full on pink instead of colorfull, and I like that about it c: I actually really like these pictures!

Hi everyone! <3

Arrrr matey
Yesterday I finally saw Gulivarrr for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by him! His designs looks really good, and I love diving to find the Mariphone, waaaaay better then having too dig for the 5 parts for Guliver (which with my totally decorated beach takes forever!). I found the phone on my first dive ^-^ lucky for me because I didn't have much time to play anyway. Today I received his gift, which was the steering wheel! It's such a cool item I placed it somewhere on my island immediately. I cheated a little with TT though and went back to yesterday so I could get another Gulivarrr item. I might do this a few times tbh, because I don't feel like waiting so long to collect the items. The items look so cool too btw, can't wait to use them all over the rocks at the back of my island. Now when I'm swimming there most rocks look quite blanc, but no more once I collect the pirate items ^.^

I guess this means they're the same person? though Guliverr has + eyes and Gulivarr has x eyes

Mission collectibles
I posted my 'kinda' finished collectibles hunt here yesterday. I really want it to be pink, blue, green and pastel-feeling! I thought the pink summer beach shell you can receive through the summer wave contest would be perfect! Unfortunately I discovered that you can only receive the pink shell by winning the competition, and the blue one will be received for participation. That pink one would have been perfect! T^T

Good news: the person where I saw the shamrock and pink tulip wants to sell them to me, yay! I do have to save up some more TBT for them, but she said she will keep them aside for me ^-^ I'm so happy, it's going to be so cute!

I actually have an updated order in mind! I think I will like this better since the shamrock will either be in the center this way, or it will be on the side so it balances the flowers nicely c:

hi everyone! ^-^

I don't have much to share today. I did some trades, made a few posts on the forum today, and practiced for an exam I have tomorrow. It's not a school exam, but a theoretic exam for the car! I'm a bit later then most people, as I'm 22 (you're allowed to drive when 18 here in Belgium) I hope to drive a car by the age of 23! So wish me luck for tomorrow lol >.<

Hi everyone ^-^ I'll talk about how my day went, and share some cute login screen moment with you ~

IRL ~ exam day
Today was an -IRL- exciting day. I did my exam for my theorethical driver license, and I passed!!! yay! I'm so happy and I feel so lucky lol, I barely studied for it but I took a class today (class is literally called 'pass immediately' haha) and it truly helped so much, I really think I understand it now. I actually never really wanted to drive a car (it kinda scares me being in control like that, and at the same time not being in control of your surrounding at all) but I'm excited about it now! It feels like I will have so much more freedom. Can't wait to start with driving classes!!

ACNH ~ login screens
I haven't played today since I was so busy with the class and the exam, and afterwards I went out for a drink to celebrate.

I do however, planned on sharing my cute login screen moment with you. You know sometimes, when you start the game up, and your villagers are just being adorable, walking around in random places on your island? I love it so much! I take screenshots all-the-time. Too bad the quality isn't as high as taking an actual in-game picture, but the pictures are still really cute!

Hello everyone! I'm going to talk about how my weekend with a little dog went,
and how I spend my other free time chasing collectibles, trading items and hosting a giveaway ^-^

TBT ~ collectible hunt
On monday the 27th I was determind to earn enough bells to buy that pretty spring shamrock collectible I was eyeing at. I made so many posts haha, and completed some trades for TBT and some NMT too! During all that posting I came across some other cute collectibles, and I couldn't help but purchase. these are the ones I bought yesterday:

I'm so happy with them! not sure why I bought the red tulip and the yellow violet, but I really like the flowers so it's fine haha. Sad part: I don't love the way they line up right now. Currently my lineup looks like this:

But I want the spring shamrock in the middle on the bottom row, surrounded with flowers. I'm not sure yet if I want a full pink lineup or half pink/half white like it is now. For the top row, I still have no idea what I really want. For now I want to keep the stones where they are, and I want the New Horizons token in the lineup too. But that's where it looks a little off to me. I was thinking of trying to date swap the flower, or simply buying a new one. Same for the bottom row, so I could have this:

I think this just looks better, but I'm still a little annoyed by the top row haha. I would also change the white tulip for maybe a white rose or something, so I have all different flowers.

ACNH ~ Giveaway with a friend
My friend came up with the idea to host a mystery grab-a-bag event, and I decided to join in since I have so many items I don't use! I also put all my spare DIY out to grab. I think we had around 110 mystery bags, and around 50 DIYs (if not more). The event went great, and we got rid of all the DIY and almost all the mystery bags! I think we had around 25 left ^-^

We held the giveaway at my friends island. I took some pictures with her there, as she had a double rainbow in the sky!

IRL ~ dogsitting
My weekend was quite busy. My whole week actually, but I had something fun to do this weekend: I was dogsitting my friends' pomeranian! That little dog is the cutest thing ever oh god. She's a year and a half old, and she's so small (and forever will be ahhh). The pomeranian named Bo lives with her 2 owners and 2 cats, who she sees as playmates (the cats however just think she's annoying). She's very cute and kind to people, but I wasn't sure how she would be with other dogs. Here where I live we have 2 dogs and 2 cats. But I'm going too fast with the story, let me tell you how my weekend started:

During the week I had been visiting furniture stores with a friend, and he still needed some items like shelves, racks, kitchen and cleaning supplies and a couch (that last one being the most difficult decision of his life apparently). We went to a few different stores, and found the perfect couch quite fast on wednesday. He didn't want to purchase it so soon though, and went to a few different stores by himself on friday. I couldn't join him that day, because I had en exctiting day myself (like you can read in my post up here: I passed my exam!). Later that friday, he asked me and my boyfriend to come over and help decide on what couch to buy. He had taped the measurements of the couch on the floor to decide if it wouldn't be too big or too small in the room. We went with the couch we saw together on wednesday, and made plans to go buy it together on saturday.

Now, quite late on that same friday, I get a phone call from another friend. He asked if I could dogsit his pomeranian for the weekend, and ofcourse I said yes! I did have to go shopping for the couch the next day, and I also had a family party planned that I had to go to, but that was fine for the owner. He was going to bring the dog in the morning. Fast forward: the owners were late, morning had passed and noon was arriving. But I had places to be, so I called the owner and said that I would come pick up the dog later. So me and the couch-friend (lol) went to the furniture store, bought the couch, grabbed something to eat, and went to get the dog. The dog kinda knows me, but not too wel. I think she had seen me around 5-7 times before. But she was so sweet like always and happily went along (that's kinda dangerous to think about, what if I was a thief? XD). Then I had to rush to the family party, and brought dog Bo with me. There were kids at the party, and I wasn't sure how she would behave around them, but the owners said she knows what kids are and is friendly with them. And she really was friendly, letting them pet her the whole time. Bo loved all the attention! And everyone loved Bo, even my brother who normally doesn't like tiny dogs.

Later on saturday when I arrived home, it was time for Bo to meet the other 2 dogs and 2 cats (Pepsi, Coca, Poesje and Kaki). She seemed a little scared at first, and Coca and Pepsi were mostly curious. But things went fine and the dogs went to bed soon. Bo was very tired after a long day of receiving attention at the party.

Sunday was a chill day, because I had nowhere to be. But is wasn't just chilling and doing nothing, that little dog was keeping me busy! She would not leave my side, and would even start barking if I left the room. She wanted to be with me at all times, even when she was outside I had to be there or she would start barking. I didn't mind too much but it's not good that she's so scared to be alone. She was also really jealous and posessive of her toys and me. When Coca and Pepsi (both males btw) would come to me she would bark at them, saying 'back off'. It was so sad for the 2 boys! Coca the cocker spaniel, who normally rules the house, was being pushed aside by a little pomeranian. I think it's because she's a girl he gave her the power position. Poor little Pepsi (a boomer dog I think) didn't come very close to the tiny dog, and when he wanted to come cuddle he would be barked down by Bo. Bad behavior. Other then that she was a good dog, super friendly to humans, but not so much for the other animals. She wasn't always mean to the other dogs though, at one point when all were outside she wanted to play with the boys, but they didn't understand XD it was quite funny. Oh and our cats, they didn't like the new dog and they just stayed away. Bo chased them sometimes to play with them, like she does with the cats she knows from her home, but they didn't like that lol.

Bo stayed until monday. Monday was a calmer day for Bo, she was just chilling by my side while I did some computerwork. I was a little sad when she had to go home with her owners, but it was like freedom returned to me lol. She was very needy! When I told the owners about her behaviour they said she's the same way at home. So I just think she's way too spoiled, and always gets her way. She's also never alone, which explains why she freaked out when I left the room. I feel like I'm saying many bad things about her, but she's actually such a sweet dog! I made some cute pictures too ^-^
