Deirdre is a girl?! I was updating my list of villagers on my ACNL app and it had Deirdre listed as an Uchi type. That's weird, I thought, I've never known of any males to be Uchi types. So I googled Deirdre to check and sure enough, Deirdre is, in fact, not a boy. (Oops.) Not so bad, I guess, since I need an Uchi villager around to suggest the grapevine trellis I've been wanting for forever. And that eradicates any suspicions I had of Deirdre and Lolly developing any...attachments. o_e But she still looks like a boy to me.
And that was the biggest development of the day. The rest of it was finding fossils, watering my flowers, building a perfect Snowboy only to have him be dissatisfied. You know, the usual. (Seriously, none of the snowpeople have given me this hard of a time. Teenagers. @_@)
To add some more substance to this post, here's a bit about one of my favorite parts of town.

I call it Horsebarn Hill. And I don't know, I just really like the way it looks. It started with the first windmill I put in behind the Town Hall and it just developed from there. I figured I'd name it after a real place in the real Storrs since it seems like a hill is a good place to put windmills. Maybe a Bus Stop would make sense too. Looks like that's also unlocked by Uchi neighbors. +1 for Deirdre.
Coincidentally, Horsebarn Hill ended up in the north-eastern part of town that would eventually become what I consider the Business District. The windmills are the town's source of power, after all. The rest of the 'district' is comprised of the accompanying solar panel, Town Hall, the Police Station, Brewster's, and an alternate home I'm modeling to look like UConn's basketball development center (also a real thing in Storrs). Maybe I'll feature that when it's done.
