Hello, hello. It's time for my take on the day's activities. I woke up this morning to the announcement that it was Bunny Day, which I knew would have to wait until I did my thorough search of the town. But first things first, I needed to change into a nice outfit that was both comfortable and springy to go egg-hunting in. I went with the Lotus Tank Dress I recently ordered, and left my Hair-Bow Wig intact from yesterday.
I checked my mailbox and only had one letter, from Buck. He said that in the 'presents for him' race, my present was number 1. I was flattered, and for winning he felt the need to give me a present in return. It turned out to be a Cubbyhole, which I had never seen before and felt like I could find a good use for sometime.
After that, I set off. I saw Zipper T. Bunny in the plaza and avoided him, reminding myself that my business needs to be done before I could go play. There were dig-spots and rocks everywhere, which made my daily fossil and ore hunt more challenging and fun today. I reburied every Earth Egg and left every Stone Egg I found for the time being, vowing to retrieve them after I officially started hunting.
Honestly, at this point, a lot of this was beginning to seem familiar. Then I recalled this one time, shortly after I became mayor, there was a visitor in town for a special event who was very self-conscious about their backside... So I had to go talk to Zipper. I approached him from behind, and he asked me if I could stop staring at his back. Only now, as I type this, do I realize that there's actually a zipper back there! Aha! So evidently Bunny Day fell on the Sunday AFTER April 8th last year, because I had definitely done this before. I hadn't remembered anything about it, so I must not have really gotten into it. I'd never seen any of the Egg items, so obviously I didn't.
After that realization, I hurried through the rest of my walk and eventually separated all of my fossils and ore from the eggs. I took them to Blathers immediately, and ironically one of them turned out to be a Dinosaur Egg. I took it and showed it to Zipper, but he didn't want it. Come on, you like eggs, why wouldn't you want a giant, prehistoric one? Anyway, I listened to what Zipper had to say and made sure I had the instructions down. Basically he wanted one of each type of egg. Easy peasy.
So I sold my inventory and made sure I had my shovel, slingshot, fishing rod, and wetsuit. This should be fun, I thought, since it's been a long time since my slingshot or wetsuit got some use. I generally avoid diving in the colder months. I dug up an earth egg, grabbed a stone egg that I'd already broken open, and took them both to the hopping bunny-man. Next I thought I'd try to shake some trees. This part worried me a bit, since I don't have many trees that aren't fruit trees. The saplings and money trees I had planted for the sake of having cherry blossoms aren't fully grown yet, so nothing was coming from shaking them. I shook a few trees that I could, and after having being stung once by bees, I finally found a Tree Egg.
I saw Lolly out and about and thought I would talk to her, even though I hadn't gotten some medicine to fix my face yet.

I really did not know that they could offer you medicine! Lolly is just the sweetest. :')
Next I thought I would try to find an egg that I could fish out of the water. I started in the river and, having no luck, decided to check the ponds. There is where I found one, and eventually concluded that it's the only place where they could be found.
Eventually I spotted a present floating by and shot it down, to discover that it was also an egg. That just left the diving egg, which I assumed was a thing because I'd heard wetsuits being mentioned in regard to Bunny Day. So I changed into mine, took off my wig and shoes, and jumped in. I wasn't sure what particular size shadow I was looking for or whether or not it would bubble like the live fish do, so I dove for the first thing I saw. It turned out to be a small shadow and it was the last of the eggs.
I took my remaining eggs over to Zipper and he awarded me with an Egg Basket and told me that the eggs can actually be eaten, and that some have winning tickets inside. Great, so we're playing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory now. I dug up a couple more earth eggs and ate them, just to see what happened. The two that I ate just had candy. Apparently the eggs are Wonderballs.
I then regretted what I had done, realizing that the number of Earth, Stone, and Tree eggs are limited to however many are initially in town, whereas I assumed that the Sky, Deep-Sea, and Water eggs could infinitely respawn. Anyhow, I went to dig up the rest of my earth eggs and collect all of the stone eggs and laid them out by kind so I could more easily sort them out. Then I went to shaking the last of my trees and came out with a few more tree eggs that I likewise separated along with the others. After that, I went to gathering a bunch of water eggs and deep-sea eggs, shooting down any sky eggs I encountered along the way.
Having at least five of each egg collected and laid out according to kind, I grabbed another one of each and took them over to Zipper. I gave him the first one, and he told me to eat it and see what was inside. Okay, so I thought that he already knew there was a prize inside it, and had me eat it so that I wouldn't miss out by giving it to him. So I ate it, and it ended up being only candy. Thinking that was odd, I gave him a couple more eggs to test him out and he eventually got upset thinking I wasn't listening to him telling me to eat them. That's when I realized that the one-egg-of-each-kind was only a one-time thing. The rest would have to be eating eggs and hoping for tickets.
So I got to munching. In time, I came out with with a pocketful of winning tickets, and a special grand-prize ticket. Awesome! I gave that one to Zipper first, slightly disappointed when it turned out to be his picture. I was glad to have gotten it, for completion's sake, and hoped that any future ones might be some special DLC items or something. But in time, I came out with one of each of the Egg series' pieces and four pictures of Zipper. So by then, I could finally take a rest. I may collect some eggs for keepsakes and decide what to do with everything else later.
Later, I found Lolly and Whitney engaged in a conversation and decided to listen in. Lolly was saying that she wanted to become perfect at paper crafts, but it wasn't going very well. Whitney likewise assured her that she could do anything she set her mind to, to which I agreed. And then:

Gasp! In response, Whitney perfectly mirrored my reaction.

Yes, Lolly, you have to tell us! I need to know who to start watching.
Unfortunately, however, Lolly would not disclose and only said it was a good friend, and that's all she was going to say about it.
This was enough information to prove useful, though. Now I know I need to keep a strict watch on Lolly and who she hangs around with...Not everyone will pass my numerous tests that determine who is good enough for my dearest Lollykins.
That about does it for my day! Since Brewster wasn't looking for any help today as there was a special event, I can recap my shift from yesterday that I left out of my post in favor of highlighting Buck's birthday.
Buck was my first customer, and I was happy he came in so I could give him a special cup of birthday coffee. Lolly was next, and I gave her the same kind. Al was the out-of-towner, and I assumed he came straight from Animalia. I can't blame Steven for not favoring him too much; He's like an extra-large version of those creepy sock monkeys. He requested a mocha with three sugars, so I could serve him correctly. Last was Phyllis, and I now know that she likes Kilimanjaro coffee straight black. That was what I gave her, and she grumbled, even though it was correct.
Resetti was at the bar and told me that he thinks it's crazy to have sugar in your coffee, which I will try to remember.
And that's it for today's bit of life in Storrs. Overall, I enjoyed Bunny Day. I like the non-religious take that this game has on holidays, personally being someone who doesn't believe in celebrating any real holidays. That aside, I found the gameplay enjoyable and the gimmicks just time-consuming enough to keep it interesting without it dragging on and making me sick of playing. I'm glad I could 100-percent this event and am looking forward to returning to the relaxing normalcy of life in my town.
