Hello hello! Getting a chance to blog on vacation earlier than I expected, so that's good. :3 Quite a bit has gone down in Storrs, so I'll go ahead and chronicle it before more accumulates.

Day 516

Melba came over to my house for a visit and I have her the grand tour. She seemed to really enjoy herself. Later, I attended the completion ceremony for our recently moved garbage can. I was pleased with the result!

I think it's quite fitting for people coming out of the cafe, and it should go well with what I'm planning for down below.

After that was done, I returned to Town Hall to commission a new Zen Garden over by the Brick Bridge and below the Station. I paid if off immediately and planted a few bamboo shoots around the spot.

Day 517

Felicity had a delivery for Chief, which I saw to taking care of. It ended up being an Orange Jacket which he tried on upon opening it, and I told him that it looks great on him. It really does suit him well!

Talking about how 'there were no events coming up,' I didn't have the heart to tell him that Labor Day was the next day. :p

Fang asked to come over and visit and I gave him the grand tour just as I did Melba yesterday. Oh, and did I mention what Melba sent in a letter thanking me for having her over? A Pastel-Dot Wall! Something I'd been waiting to get my hands on for a long time. It went upstairs in my Green Room, where I was also able to add a Green Table and Wardrobe and complete the series, thanks to a lovely person on the forums!

After Fang had seen his fill of my house, I stopped by Town Hall to get on with the ceremony for the Zen Garden and order the demolition of the other one. I've spent an awful lot of money on these things. xD After the ceremony, I had four of my villagers to pick and talk to, and I chose Chief.

Well, it must have his approval! Looks like this'll be its permanent spot. x)

Day 517

I had a letter from Fang (in addition to several orders from T&T for my Green room) thanking me for having him over, in which he enclosed his picture! I made sure to pick up my refurbished Green Table from Cyrus, added the new furniture I ordered, and with that I believe my upstairs is complete!

Out and about through town, I ran into Lily and she wanted to buy the Antique Clock I'd opted to remove from my upstairs. I thought it would look decent in her house, since she has a collection of Green furniture as well, so I let her have it for a decent price.

I also talked to Melba and this time, she wanted to have me over to her house. Eager to get that Blue Bookcase out of her house, I accepted her invitation for 12 o'clock. While I was waiting for the time to roll around, Colton wanted to come to my house. I didn't think he'd come over to my house before (that I can distinctly recall), so I was all too happy to show him around. I gave him the grand tour as well, and he appropriately had a lot to say about my Regal room.

It's only modeled after his house, after all!
After he saw all of my rooms, he admitted it was time for him to go and saw himself out.

I still had some time to kill before meeting up with Melba, so I made sure to check the shops and see Isabelle about her Labor Day surprise. It was a Picnic Basket which I'll probably just sell, since I still have mine from last year. I also took a few pictures in the plaza. :)

Badminton is one of my favorite sports!
(And I only just recently discovered that you can go up-close and make faces in the cutouts xD)

On my way to Melba's, it seemed like everyone was trying to keep me from getting there in time. Whitney wanted a piece of fruit, and fortunately we were right beside her house so I shook down a durian for her. Chief pinged me by the bridge and wanted to move, but I easily put a stop to his plans. Despite the impediments, I still made it to Melba's house two minutes early. She let me buy her Blue Bookcase and I told her that her house is great before leaving and calling it a day. Hopefully I can get her Minimalist Dresser back to her to fill that void!

That's all I have to report for this rendition of Life in Storrs. Until next time!

I have the garbage can as well. I set mine up around Re-Tail so that I could easily toss out anything that Reese wouldn't take, but I like where you put yours.

I love your green room! I didn't know that you could customize those armchairs. I'll have to try it! :)
