Even though I'm a huge fan of the games, and have been for years. I don't think I've ever considered myself to have "completed" an Animal Crossing game. Like, for the most part I need to be in the mood to play them.

For a long time I've played New Leaf on & off, but I kept deleting my towns. Generally because it takes up a lot of my time and I'm usually not happy with certain things. I try not to TT, because in the end it really does ruin the experience for me at least.

So, with that said...I'm going to put my all into the Switch game. :)

I'm the same way. I've been playing since 2002 and have never "completed" a town. I've reset my original New Leaf game 3 times since 2012, bought another copy (ok two copies), and I still haven't gotten my town to a point I am happy with.

I'm hoping to get there with this town (Camilia), but it's really just a town I'm playing until Switch comes out. I already have a bullet journal planned for the switch game so I can go full force into it!

I have a habit of deleting my towns and starting over as well, though I do tend to keep them for longer than some people do. I actually recently recreated my town a few days ago! I figure the wait for Animal Crossing Switch may be a long one, so I wanted to make one last ACNL town.

I havent deleted my ac:nl town once theres alot of things i dont like about it like the rock placements
and such but i manage to deal with them plus i put some unmovable pwp in the most awkwardof places but ilook past them.
That being said the only reason i got a switch was because i saw the nintendo direct announcing animal crossing this year and since then i ve gotten a few games here and there but I am despretly waiting for animal crossing switch i want to see how beutiful it'll look on the switch and what new things they add i personally wanna see the addition of earings like they did for the splatoon wigs and the flower fairy wig

I tried starting over again a few days ago but I was trying to retrieve my old town map. (Which would take me forever.) Plus, on top of that...I like my native fruit to be apples. Can you imagine how many times I'd have to reset?!

I have never deleted a town before.... Once I start playing it I get too attached to it.. I'm happy that the switch lets you have multiple accounts, so I can have multiple animal crossing saves under different accounts.

Well, I started so many times over in New Leaf, also mostly for the reason because
there was always something that bother me about my current town or because I
thought I would find a better town. I also was never able to complete a AC game,
even if I spent lots of hours into the game. The town I have will not be deleted,
instead I will keep it till the new AC game is out (also, I want to break that reset
madness and not want to waste anymore time in resetting for a town, lol). Kinda
hope I have the chance to get a town map that looks like the one I have in NL or
at least one that is similar.

After all, I own a Switch already and just wait at this point that Nintendo finally
give us some informations. Until then, I still keep playing NL and try my best to
make a good looking town.

I start over all the time too and never make it far.

I started again today and I'm going to play until AC Switch releases.

I wouldn't dare reset my town now, because over the years I was struggling to get a town i'm satisfied with. It wasn't until 2 years later since I got New Leaf in 2013 where I went back to memory lane with a town layout I had back in 2013, (But hardly looked like it) and decorate it how it was meant to be. And to my surprise it looks great!
Now I will never restart my main town over something I wanted since the beginning of time when New Leaf released in the Americas. Now I'm going to keep my first town when I start a new town in AC Switch.

I still have my original towns for every game since GCN and despite that I still don't feel like they've ever been completed. Never gotten the golden net/rod, never had a perfect town for two weeks, I'm missing multiple major PWPs in NL... It's not that I endlessly reset or start new towns that often but I can't seem to keep that consistent interest for an entire year like others do and I don't like time travelling.

I kind of feel like starting a new NL game and trying to actually complete it but that's already a lost cause unless AC Switch gets delayed beyond March 2020 in regard to bugs/fish.
