Deleting VMs

So I tried deleting some VMs on my profile so that it would be blank. Instead, they've just been replaced with "This message has been deleted" or something... I get that others won't be able to see them, but the whole point of me deleting it was so that it would look neat and not have old messages just there. It's just bothering me.. Do these disappear eventually?? I don't see the point of keeping those up there >.<

Then just don't go past the first page?

All I can think of is to either disable visitor messages completely or pressure and admin or maybe a mod into doing something if possible.

We're not going to permanently delete VM's unless there's an exceptionally good reason to do so. We keep them for archival purposes in case we ever need to look into them for whatever reasons. The reason they can't be permanently deleted and only "soft deleted" is because otherwise it would be too easy to post malicious links, or abuse someone, and then just delete the evidence, getting rid of any record if it ever happening.

I guess that makes sense. I just thought that perhaps it could be archived without having it show when I look at my profile. Like how it's invisible to other people. But I understand the reason for why they need to be archived.

I permanently delete mine.
