I keep giving my two starting villagers lots of presents so they'll decorate their ugly houses. Sadly, they're being very resistant and clinging to the ugliness

Yea it sucks because I want to keep Audie and Mitzi but they both have hideous houses, which is making me want to get rid of them!

Yeah, this is the downside of having found a dreamie on the first tours, their house is really basic and possibly won't ever get to be as nice as their normal houses. I'm not the biggest fan of this mechanic. I want Skye to have the pretty house she deserves

pierce's DIY home isn't too bad, all of the wooden furniture is customized to blue, so it at least has a cool monochromatic look to it

I'm glad my first three villagers outside of my starters are ones I dont really want to keep... the houses are cute but I'd rather them be themed to the villager!

Unfortunately yes this is the case since we can't change them, the only good thing is that the 16 villager cycle doesn't exist so if someone moves out you can immediately move them back in

I've been trying to find what 3 of my villagers house interior should look like, but not having luck. The DIY ones aren't terrible... just sort of basic. Any pics of Zucker's, Gala's, or Twiggy's house would be great.

I'm happy to learn that ! I was worried one of my villager had the exact same interior (except for the color) as a villager I saw on another island !

I thought it would be like this for every villager ahah I'm relieved

A little bit of happy home designer...not quite...but it look like it time for me to spice up their house then. I thought the same thing you did as well but I'm 9 days behind everyone else.

yeah it really sucks. I have this problem with genji specially when I tried giving him a nice desk to replace the wardrobe he had on the corner of the room or the big table taking up all the room space but he kept the 3 TABLES and now genji's house is slowly becoming TABLELAND

kicking villagers out is too much of a hassle so I'm praying the rng gods to give me good jock stuff for him since I've noticed a big lack of sporty looking furniture. he also keeps rotating the clock I give him and it's always facing the wall for some reason

This is the downside. I have Molly and Zucker as my 3rd and 5th villager and that means I’ll never see their real houses. I don’t wanna let them go.

Yeah I noticed this too and I hate it! Out of my first 5 villagers I still have Reneigh, Aurora, Puddles, and Teddy and I really don't wanna let them go but their houses are awful and from what I've seen, they never seem to replace it with what they should have so I wish I could find pictures online of what their houses are meant to look like so I could try sending them all the stuff, but I'm having no luck so far.

Yeah, once I found that out I was kind of glad I didn't get anyone I wanted to keep as my first five. Bubbles still has a pretty cute house though, even though she was one of the first three move-ins.

I feel like I got really lucky with the 3 villagers that came after my 2 starters then because I didn't even notice those weren't their actual interiors?? I guess I just got really lucky with some of the items matching up to the villagers that moved in. Louie's and Phoebe's houses are practically empty because I was told they would fill themselves over time oops. But Tutu, Hugh and June managed to have just fine-looking interiors for me so I didn't even notice anything was off. I gotta see if I can cross-reference their interiors with other peoples because now I'm really curious

edit: just remembered that some of the early villagers are personality locked, so maybe that's why I didn't quite notice it because I figured "oh! Hugh has some food furniture, yeah that's him, they just gave him a new interior!" lmao

Yes, I am not a big fan. The peppy starter house is pretty cute though.

Luckily I don't think I'll keep any of my first five, except maybe Reneigh

yeah, i really don't like this feature at all. i'm planning on keeping flurry and punchy from my first five so unfortunately their houses are gonna be like that forever...i know i could just get their amiibos and replace them w themselves but i feel attached to MY punchy and flurry and would feel bad doing that lmao
