Okay I know in the past I may have posted this, but I just wanted to say that Furniture being color locked is not a really good way of getting different furniture. Basically whenever you start your island you have different color variants of furniture in your shop. Like for example I have 2 islands. On Destiny I have a shop selling Red Variants of the Cute Furniture while on Scala (the 2nd island) the shop on that one is selling the White Variants of the Cute Furniture. The airport colors are different Green for Destiny and Blue for Scala. Now here is the problem, whatever color you get on your shop it stays there.

So the only way to get different variants of furniture is by gifting your villagers to make them give you items, shaking trees which sometimes drops furniture, collecting Wisp sprints and tell him to give you "Something New" and of course when you see Redd you will see him selling different color variants of furniture you cannot find in your shop on your island. Unless if there is another way I've searched and done everything the problem is that its all RNG and it takes forever to find the one color I'm looking for. I am trying to look for Blue variants of furniture, but I still have a hard time with it.

I've done a lot of restarts on my 2nd island trying to get blue furniture for the cute series and my luck is just terrible. My last island before I restarted which was Bastion was selling the "Yellow" variants of the Cute furniture and the one I had before that which was "Radiant" was selling the same Red ones I had on Destiny. So I really want to know if there is an easier method of trying to get different colored furniture variants besides getting them from trades.

I'm sorry if I sounded a bit annoyed, but I am just trying to look for an easy solution. This is not me bashing the game, its just me trying to look for an answer.

You have already listed the various methods on your 2nd paragraph.

The fastest way on getting all the variants is to go to a catalog island. That's how I got mine and ended my frustration.

Balloons, Wisp, Redd, and Trees can all offer different colors, however, I do believe there is a price limit on all of them. You won't find different colors for more expensive items. If I had to guess, I'd say nothing more than 5,000 bells or somewhere in that ball park.

TBH, the fastest way is to trade with, or buy them from, other players. It's POSSIBLE to get them otherwise, but it seems Nintendo deliberately made it difficult to get them in other ways to basically force players to be social. Like how trading Pokemon is basically a must for completing a Pokedex.

It wasn't ideal for someone as shy as me, but I actually joined this forum specifically to be able to get more items and villagers 😅 But I've also enjoyed chatting here!
So I guess Nintendo's plan to make me social worked? Curse them, they're clever...

The fastest method is trading, which unfortunately, requires WiFi and a Nintendo subscription to do. It’s a shame, but I had WiFi for a short time to obtain the items I was specifically looking for. Nintendo basically color locked everything to get people to purchase their subscription. Pocket Camp was money hungry, and that hadn’t changed with New Horizons.

I don’t mind at all being on forums. I’m a member of a few right now. I was on forums as soon I started playing video games.

I am well aware of the catalog island but I refuse to do any trading because if you may remember I posted a thread about my bad experience with trading. I tried last month to trade again on a certain site but of course kept getting rejected all because they demand so much nmts out of me. With all due respect I know what I am saying is repeating it and I get it, but here is the thing like I said I've done all of that, but its just so RNG to figure out what variant it is. Also whenever I restart my island it takes a while to grind up to getting the Nook Shopping App on the phone just to see what item I have cataloged.

They do have free catalog events. I found quite a few on Facebook months ago. There may still be some, but I haven’t looked recently.

You could try treasure islands on twitch/twitter? They can be a bit of a pain to get to but you just walk in and take whatever you like.

Save up the TBT and go to a catalog island it is 100% worth it! I think LoserMom has a catalog island on here, pretty sure that's where I went. Highly recommend

Very much this. This is how I got a complete catalog really early (all orderable furniture, rugs, wallpapers and flooring). If you are an active poster, you can get enough TBT quickly. It's way faster and more efficient.

99% of people on this site are more trustworthy and less greedy than those on sites like Nookazon. I’d say you’re good to catalog on this site.

I appreciate the offer, but I am going to decline. It seems I will have to do this on my 2nd island no matter how long it takes me. Yeah I know I may have lost my mind playing this game, but you know it doesn't bother me so much anymore since I can pretty much do things with the 2nd island with no restrictions. I know I said when I came back to this site I am an Introvert and that is just how I am. This is the only way I will have to do it. Since I learned that someone mentioned you can get different variants from Balloons I will have to keep that in mind.

This is in no way saying I am not grateful for the help, its just that I have trust issues and knowing me I don't want to have that repeated experience, so I am going to do what works for me. I appreciate everyone's help, but for now I know what I need to do now.

That’s totally understandable. You can’t be too trusting of people online, but try not to be too skeptical or you might miss out on good things. It’s okay to open up once in a while. Living in fear can take over your life — which is something I’ve learned as someone who’s been betrayed in the past.

Doing things on your second island seems like a great start, and may help you open up more in the future if you see that some people can be trusted. Good luck.

Maybe so, but thanks for understanding. Last year broke me so much it may take me a long while to recover from it.

Shake the trees on your island and mystery islands and piping balloons as well. Also trading with other players too :)
