digging up weeds

my friend told me that if you dig up the weeds not pull them they will never grow back there.
is he lieing? and if he isnt does this apply to city folk?

thats what i thought it seemed to good to be true you could just travel to 2099 and dig out all the weeds than you would never get weeds again

The only way you can get weeds to never grow in your town on CF is to put down patterns everywhere. But that would be annoying.

if you put patterns down everywhere there would also be no dig spots which would suck

Especially b/c you would have to walk to places. If you try to run you'll just pick the patterns up. Which will add to the annoyance X3

yeah i have paths in my town and there getting kind of annoying i might get rid of them

ohh yeah i hate that its dumb my whole town has no grass so i made a new town and i cant run

It grows back after a while. But the way it works is with real time and not AC time. So you actually have to wait for the grass to grow back.

i know but someone fgured it out it would take 15 weeks for it to grow back and you have to play everyday you cant just skip 15 weeks plus if you play for everyday the grass that grows you just ruin again

If you really wanted it to grow back and not wait, you could just change the wii internal clock ahead a day until you get to 15 weeks.

I agree. the whole grass dieing factor is lamee! Even though it makes the game some-what more realistic its annoying. an i dont want to wait for the grass to grow back! I run soo much its hard to even think about stopping! X3

It does make it seem more realistic. The idea was good too, but it wasn't given much thought. The grass should grow quicker, just like how when it snows, the snow sticks faster. Which in the case of Animal Crossing, it actually doesn't, the snow comes and goes just like the grass, which is stupid.

Another good point! My snow is practically gone because of this feature. I mean it is smart, but they should make it come back quicker. In reality, the snow doesnt go away THAT fast (unless it gets warmer or doesnt snow for awhile) same with the grass..

Question, does the snow even come back after its gone?? B/c i haven't noticed..

The snow should come back eventually, just like the grass.
You actually need the snow, cause the snowballs are the only way you can catch the dung beetles and get snowman furniture.

I stopped running for about 2 weeks and it snowed a couple of times, but the town stayed the same! It's getting really annoying! It was a smart idea but now its just plain annoying.
