my 3-year-old tablet has been slowly dying on me the last couple of weeks, so i've been in the market for a new one. the two i've been looking at are the slightly older model, the cl480, and the newest intuos, the cl490. and when comparing them i noticed something
the newest model intuos is so ugly.
like what's up with the wonky shortcut keys?? why are they tilted like that? what is the purpose of having a dot grid on the active area when you're gonna be looking at the screen most of the time anyway? why does it look like it's made of really cheap plastic??
the older model looks so much more sleek and professional and is honestly probably more sturdily made. even bamboo tablets were better designed.
also, i still don't agree with the name change from bamboo to intuos when the latter has always been exclusively attributed to their professional line of products. it's confusing and dupes people into believing there's been an improvement in quality when the specs for the basic models have been the same for years.
someone pls end wacom's monopoly on pen input tablets thnx
