Discarding

If I discard my avatar animation / username change / etc. from my inventory, will everything return back to how it was before (will my username change back?) or will the icons just not show under my "status?"

I don't know about the username change, but the others, yes. I once tried putting my user title color as inactive, and it turned black. Instead, try clicking the check box under "hidden" on the items you don't want to see in your inventory.

because you're "discarding" your name

Discarding the username change after using it does nothing. I know from experience.
