DIY Storage

Suggestion for a new horizons update, there should be storage to put extra DIY recipes. I always run out of places to put them and I don't want them to just be all over my island.

I dont know if you know this or not.
I wouldnt blame you for not doing it if you did as it sucks as a storage method.
But if you put them on a table, and then use the clean up service from the island design app, they will be put in to the storage box in resident services.
So will the table so you'll have to collect it.

But its one way to store them.

I agree with you though it's kinda stupid they force them on you to "give to friends" but then expect you to find a friend there and then.

Totally agree. DIY recipes can be some of the hardest, most random things to find in-game, so I always feel bad throwing them away. I know I could be giving them to other people instead, but I obviously never have someone to take them right then & there.

I really, really don’t understand the decision to make DIYs non-storable.

I know the storage box, but I there's limited space there.

One of the craziest things about this game is how you can put a giant lighthouse in your storage box, but a sheet of cardboard is out of the question.

THANK YOU FOR THIS! I didn’t know there was a trick to storing them. They’re littered all over my island and in my house for the ones that I want to keep, so to know this trick is awesome!

agreed! i currently have all of my spare diys in my back room + in an alt character’s house and i hate it lol. i get that nintendo wants us to share our spares with other people but,, they also made it so that nook’s cranny sells only one of an item’s variant so that people would have to trade for the others and yet we can still put those into storage so i’m a bit puzzled by nintendo’s decision on this one.

Sadly I don’t even collect my message bottle or look for my crafting villager anymore. Most of the people I play with have finished their diy catalog or are close to finishing it. If I happen to come across a crafting villager when I’m looking for villagers who are in need of gifts I take it but most of the time they are making something Tom Nook gave us when we started.
