DIYs recipes in balloons? Which ones?

Can all the balloon colors have DIY recipes? The reason I ask this is because it always seems like when I shoot down the yellow balloons, all I get are bells. I’ve yet to see one that has a recipe in it. Plus, that’s all I seem to get is yellow. I rarely get red, green and blue balloons and I’ve been shooting them down all day.

Okay, thank you. I might have gotten a recipe from a yellow balloon, but probably just didn’t noticed it.

I think it is random. Though I seem to get most of my DIY’s in green balloons. Yellow usually gives me bells.

I can't remember if the drop rates were ever datamined or if it were possible to do so (I can't find them if they were), but people have tried to collect some data on balloons. Your experiences seem to match that data. Yellow balloons are more common and tend to have Bells instead of DIYs. All balloons can carry (seasonal) DIY recipes, but conveniently enough, they're most common in the rarest balloons (green and red), and so the high frequency of yellow balloons still means that you'll get DIYs from them eventually.

So unfortunately, even if you just want the DIYs, your best bet is still just shooting every balloon down.

yes I think yellow is more leaned to bells.
sometimes playing with sub characters give you different balloons!

It’s random but I think they have odds like you can find DIYs in all colors of the balloons but some have higher probability of having things like blue most often have materials, yellow have bells, red have furniture and green have clothing items.

I always thought the yellow balloons had bells and all the other color balloons had only furniture, materials or clothing but I learned its RNG, which is pretty annoying when you're trying to collect seasonal DIYS
