Do the Nook Miles items Change?

My resident service center updated yesterday with the ability to purchase things like the light house, street lights, etc. The items today are exactly the same in the colorway.
Do the items ever change their color in your Nook Miles shop?

So far, what I think happens is that the items stay the same, but the variations of that item change. If you wanted a different colour lighthouse, you might have to wait a couple of days to find the perfect one.

Ah, ok! I had the same color lighthouse twice in a row and was gonna be disappointed if that was the only color I could get. RIP.

Have you (or anyone else reading this) seen the items change to different options in your own game like that? I hope this is true!

Didn't someone say last week or so that the lighthouse color was tied to the airport color?

I don't think so, unless each airport has one or more lighthouse colors tied to it. My household has 2 Switches and 2 games and we both ended up with yellow airports but have different lighthouses.

I’m wondering the same. I don’t like the colors of most of my items. My boyfriend had a nicer color streetlamps, so he bought one for me seeing as I can’t use my Nook Miles on his machine. I catalogued the streetlamp, but I still can’t order the streetlamp in a different color at the moment. I would be really disappointed if the colors don’t change.

I feel that! I hate my lighthouse and want it to change but.. then again I'd also be a little bummed if my white street lights went away since you can't purchase it from the catalogue.

Hi all. Has there been any update on this? I have a feeling they don’t change. I’ve had the same item selection and colors since release. I don’t know if I should buy out my hideous selection of items or be patient :/

The colors stay the same. Each person gets one of many colors. You can trade items with others, but your colors will always stay the same, and you can not customize them.
