do u think they'll have a marshall card?

You really don't need any card to decorate a certain villager's house (besides special characters). All villagers cycle through the queue until you've designed all their homes.

In the end, I'm sure all villagers featured in HHD will eventually get a card. It'll just take multiple series to get through them all.

Someone posted on here a while ago all the villagers that apparently are going to be cards (though I have no idea where they got it from or if it's right).

But since he's in the game, I can't really see him not being a card! You do apparently need a card though if you want to be able to call a villager to a certain location, and you won't find his card yet as he isn't in series 1. But we still have series 2-4 to look forward too

They do have his card (I think it's in series 1) but you don't need a card, but if you wanna do it ASAP you might need one.

No, there's already a list of all the cards and he's not in series 1. He is in pretty much all them videos released to promote the game though {so he is possible to get from main street at the moment}

I'm sure they will have multiple series of cards and you will be able to eventually get all the possible villagers as amiibo cards :)

I?m pretty sure they`ll do a Marshal card in the upcoming series in the future, since he?s a very popular villager.

I'm not sure that Nintendo will do the villagers based on popularity. I'm pretty sure that they're just doing the villagers based on which ones the devs like the best.

Is this true? So you could literally design all 300 (or whatever the number of all the villagers is) villager's homes??!?!

Yes; you only need a card if you don't want to wait for a certain villager to pop up, if you want to invite a villager to a location, or if you want to design a special character's house.

Those "100" Amiibo cards does not include the following:

  • Ankha
  • Bam
  • Beau
  • Chief
  • Erik
  • Fang
  • Julian
  • Kid Cat
  • Lucky
  • Lolly
  • Marina
  • Marshal
  • Merengue
  • Phoebe
  • Rosie
  • Stitches
  • Tia
  • Whitney
  • Zucker

Since following The Bell Tree Forums member Hound00med's villager-popularity thread, in January 2013 (two months after it was started), those on the above list have, for however long, been in the Top Tier. And I don't see any of them among those 100 Amiibo cards. So, hopefully, there will be more to come. If not…perhaps the Amiibo cards aren't terribly important; that they're an enhancement and not an essential part of playing "Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer."

To be fair, the villager popularity thread really means nothing. It's just some list made up by someone, that now makes people go crazy over villagers just because they are "popular" in the eyes of who even? Pretty sure the thread posted when the game came out in Japan shoes all the villagers in this game, and all the above ones were in it. It's already been confirmed that there will be 4 series with 100 cards each, I think people are just impatient because series 1 didn't have that many "popular" villagers tbh >.<

I know.

I just found it striking that a number of these really standout villagers aren't among the 100 on those Amiibo cards. (My personal favorite is the Lazy bear cub Stitches. How did Nintendo miss out on making an Amiibo card for Stitches?!)

I've not properly looked into it but maybe they are limiting species per series for a balance? I know series 1 has 2 hamsters and..about 3 of the bear cubs. I'd see it as a good thing though. If you didn't like a majority of series 1 (like myself) at least you know the next series will have more villagers you like

Popularity threads on different forums contain different villagers, so TBT's list might not be an absolute measure of popularity. Nintendo might also be making a smart business decision and spreading out the "cute" or popular villagers over the 4 series of cards to ensure that there will be sustained interest on our parts in buying packs from all series.

Considering his popularity, I think he'll definitely be a card in the future.

The same applies to a lot of the cute characters not already on the list. It wouldn't be wise to put all their eggs in one basket, because then no one will want to buy the next batches. Why go after new series cards if all the good ones have already been obtained?

I thought I read somewhere during E3 that the plan was to include all 333 villagers in all 4 series of cards. Eventually all villagers should have a card.

That leaves 66 cards total in the series for other special characters, and the 2 new villagers in HHD.

They would absolutely capitalize on the fact people love certain vilagers and spread them out through the series. Nintendo is a great company but it's a company just the same. They have to make money somehow, and this makes a lot of sense.

I must have lucked out because my two favorite villagers are in series one :) Bob and Winnie. I didn't get them in my first 5 packs however. Maybe I'll get them in the next set I buy. I still got some cards I really wanted so I'm not bummed about it.

Wouldn't it be silly if Nintendo put like one of the holy grail villagers in the fourth series? Like Julian, marshal or stitches? That would actually be hilarious, I'm sorry.
