I was curious if there were any other adventure-savvy people here.

I often go backpacking and because my family can't always afford vacations I spend my summers doing my school's abroad, my favorite of which was my time traveling in South Africa. We would stop at small towns and at various stops to go hiking/pitch up our tents. The group was small so we all travelled in one van, and the teachers that accompanied us were all amazing! It was hot, but I'm used to heat so it's nothing I can't take. The beaches were amazing as well!

I’ve been sailing and hiking before. The favorite place I’ve hiked is in the Aravaipa Canyon in Arizona. Went there for several days to a week a couple years ago and loved every minute of it. I’ve also been sailing plenty of times before and know the basics of working a sailboat. I would like to go hiking in another continent sometime though. It sounds like fun ^^

Hiking isn't really my thing, but I do like going on road trips! I live about 3 hours from the mountains and the beach either way, so it's nice to be able to take a little day or weekend trip when I have the time. I don't mind riding in the car at all and I like sightseeing throughout wherever we're going.

I love hiking and long walks in the morning or during winter. The only thing I don't like is the sun when its over 68 degrees lol but I love getting out of the house to walk and I feel it helps me mentally and physically somewhat. Camping scares me a bit, but some of my favorite hiking spots are Griffith park and Ernest E. Debs Regional Park (love the view of the northeast side of LA).

I love long rides in the car so I guess road tripping is my thing.

I like road tripping from the few ive been on! I recently had one and it was first my first that wasnt with family but with 2 friends! So Yeah! Hiking I'm not completely sure on though...in theory yes but I cant say if I enjoy it since I dont really think ive done it or not enough to have a solid opinion on it.

I love going on road trips. "Freedom" or the feeling of it was a quintessential motivator in driving at all for me in which taking road trips takes a huge part in.

i LOVE road-tripping, i just don't have many nearby friends anymore and don't feel comfortable going by myself lol
i have a friend up in michigan that i like visiting, which is 700 miles away from where I live, so it's basically a roadtrip, and then i and her are planning on road-tripping to new hampshire for a concert sometime

as for hiking, i haven't really been, but i'd probably like it

yes I love hiking and camping. These are probably my main hobbies. We gathered with friends and went camping quite often in summer. I found reviews about thebestwalkietalkies and bought them for me and friends to stay in touch in our trips.

I love hiking! <3. This summer, I went backpacking (hiking while carry all your gear in a pack) in the mountains for 5 days. I went around 50 Miles with my friends!! Our longest day was 22 miles which was up to the summit of a mountain! The view was great from the top and those 22 miles were worth it! The worst part though, was getting rained on almost every day, but other than that it was great!

Summiting a mountain with a 50 pound backpack was one of my proudest feats. The selfie I took with all my friends is printed out and in a photo frame in my room. Raining while backpacking(especially when in the mountains) is the worst. My school provides tarps because they're easier to carry and more cost effective, and one time my friend rolled a meter or so away from the tarp whilst it was raining. Additionally, my group actually slept IN A RAINCLOUD while it was raining my first time backpacking in the 8th grade. If anyone is curious what it's like, its rather suffocating and thick- like a thick, heavy vape cloud covering you from all sides. A kid in my group had asthma. Yeeaaaahhhh. Despite all the bad things (bears, rainclouds, falls, broken legs, etc.) it's one of my favorite hobbies!

Nice! I forgot to mention we say a Mountain Lion staring at us from the woods at night!

I love hiking and if I could, I wouldn't mind hiking somewhere near or in Estes Park, Colorado. It's beautiful up there and maybe doing it during the Fall season would be pretty cool too. The trees would be absolutely gorgeous. <3

Favorite place I ever camped at was Panther Falls in Georgia, it was a backpacking trip and I slept so well with the sound of a roaring waterfall outside the tent.

Oh, I visited Panther Falls once when I had a family ATV trip across the country. It was gorgeous! Despite that, the preparations just as mentioned here and the road there was surprisingly tough. I wish to visit it again one day.

I love road hiking. I think there isn't an inch of the local forest I haven't visited yet. But I also like traveling to National park, Smoky mountains is my favorite one. Though I haven't been to Estes Part, thanks for the idea. My next big trip was planned in April but now I'm not sure.

i love them!! my favourite is when my mom and i head out with no destination, we just drive as far as we can :3

Yes!! I'm a girl scout actually so I go camping or hiking about once a month. Usually we go by car or train to the camping sites, so they're road trips too haha. But we do a lot of hiking up mountains, trekking and abseiling as well! My favorite trip so far I think was walking to the summit of the highest peak in my state.

my partner lives almost four hours away so about once a month i drive down to see him. its usually a nice little road trip and the sights arent bad, even though my state is very flat. once i cross the border to his state, the views get a lot better! lots of hills and some mountains waaay off in the distance. driving down during the fall is really nice!

Road tripping with my mom always ends up an adventure. (particularly when we stop for food and end up on an quest trying to find some) It's genuinely fun to watch the world outside the window, rock out to some crazy music, and make sure the both of us are taken care of. I'm always the handler (I can't drive, and besides, my mother loves driving her car), but I like it, I like being able to contribute on the trip. It doesn't matter where we go, because as long as we're together, we have fun no matter where we are. I can't really pick a place, because I haven't been on many trips yet and I've liked everywhere we've gone so far.
