Regarding not allowing certain games to be backed up. Do you think they will respond to the backlash and eventually include support for these games, perhaps when they aren't so fresh and new and hacking won't matter to them so much? If so, do you think they'll still implement some kind of limitation in order to protect against cheating?

I have hopes, but also doubts, that this will happen.

I doubt it. Nintendo has always done whatever they feel like, even if some of their practices aren't so consumer friendly.

Honestly, I don't know why they care so much. Hacking is pretty rampant on Pokemon, for example. Preventing cloud saves will not prevent people from hacking on that series.

They probably won't.

What they could do for those specific games is make it so that you can only download your data for those games from your cloud once per month. Would people still abuse it to remove a few bad matches in Ranked? Of course, but only being able to do so once a month instead of whenever and however many times you want is still a huge improvement. And it shouldn't affect the people that want to use the cloud service properly, unless you break or lose your Switch multiple times a month (in that case I think you have a more important problem to focus on fixing first).

You know Nintendo. When us people come up with a reasonable improvement, they never seem to listen. If there is something that Nintendo knows what we don't, they'd better tell us to why they do that!

I'm not sure but probably not.

I wish they would actually put in the effort to make cloud saves for the currently excluded games possible. Because really there are simple workarounds to prevent cheating, this is just lazy. But guess we'll have to wait and see what they do :/

I wrote a short letter to Nintendo a few days ago and sent it to them on Twitter because after searching and searching I couldn't find any suitable place to send them feedback. I think that on its own is a little telling, but I suppose it's been that way for ages. Really though, I do encourage anyone who has any feelings towards anything Nintendo is doing to try at least sending them a Twitter message because they do state on their profile that they are 'listening' even if they can't respond. I don't think it's possible that Nintendo could go without seeing the huge like/dislike rate on their trailer video for the online service, and if they are truly listening like they say they are then I think we should be hopeful for change as long as we continue to try to instigate it. I really just think they've made mistakes and misjudged the market, this being their first go-around on the paid thing, and they really just need some help finding out what consumers want and are willing to pay for. I have hope that things will improve if we try to help.
