Do you try to make your villagers' rooms look nice?

I haven't talked to anyone else who does this - of course if you see something you want in a villager's house you'll buy it from them, but if I think it looked nice in their room, I'll try to sell it back to them once I have it in my catalog. I only use ReTail for things that I think would look nice in a specific villager's house, sometimes I wait around in there until someone comes in to buy, so I can make sure they buy the right item.
Phil's house is a disaster, I even refurbish items from the blue series to dark blue so they'll look better in his house, but he arranges them really weirdly and refuses to get rid of the ugly stuff I gave him in the beginning when I wasn't sure how to make his room look nice :/
I like how Penelope's room looks originally, except I bought her simple love seat and replaced it with a refurbished pink polka-dot couch (with a candy gingham tee for pillows), and I'm now trying to sell her a refurbished cushion.

I think it just adds another part of the game that you can try to plan and have fun with!

When a villager asks me for something to put in their room, I actually take time to see what would look best in their house, rather than just give them anything for the sake of completing an errand.

I've only JUST recently started trying to do this. Before I never paid attention, but having my villagers' houses look terrible every time I visited them was getting old >__>

And I agree, having one more little thing to do in the game just makes it that much more fun c:

I don't but now I do. I don't try to maintain original but at least it erase the guilt of me ruining their house with fossils and fishes/bug in the past. I try to go with their wall/carpet theme =x heck care the original they will change anyway, without me knowing lol

I haven't really tried it extensively, but yes! I don't let them buy things that would look ugly in their house and I try to give them things that fit their theme

I try to, but if they ask me for furniture that I have I just might give it to them depending on how badly they ask for it or how much they are willing to pay. I try not to worry TOO mch about their interiors. Not my house, it's theirs. ^^

It's one of my goals in my game to make sure my villagers have the perfect houses. Sometimes though, their idea of a perfect house and my idea of a perfect house are very different. lol

In WW I would.

In NL I really don't care, they change their stuff way to often. Bones has a toilet as his "chair" in front of his laptop.(really Bones... that lazy huh??) He also has about three beds. I think O'Hare only has one or two of his original house items.

only for my dream villagers i would

What milkysugar, sn0wxyuki and aimeekitty posted. Cole's house looks like a total mess because I always gave him whatever came in handy and Willow's house feels quite odd with two big beds in it. Elise has lots of stuff in her house, but it's nicely arranged. Now I'm trying to pay more attention to what they get from me and I also try prevent my villager's houses being taken over by a bunch of fish and insects.

Yes. I would never do their fish and bugs requests. I don't want their room to be filled with that or shirts and stuff. I try to stick to it being original most of the time though.

I try and keep my food townies houses original
In Azalea and my non foodies, i try to keep it nice, but im not OCD over it as i am with the foodies (Damn Tia replacing her tea set)

I just give them furniture that matches. If they don't like it and put it up on re-tail the next day then i don't care what they use, but i still get sort of offended, haha.

I do not try to make my villager's house look nice because... it's their house, if they want a billion sea bass in their house go for it. I'm a very laid back Animal Crossing player.

I don't care about the inside of my villagers' houses; they can do whatever they want with it. Besides when I do give them something 'nice' (such as a customized rococo sofa to Stitches which he found awesome) they end up putting it in Re-Tail, anyway, haha.

I do, but they end up screwin their houses up
Yukas is an absolute mess, almost no original furniture
sylvias was a mess
When phoebe moves in later her house wont end up rekt

Yeah sorta c: I don't like the way bugs and fish look in villager houses so I never give any. I do check what the item looks like before giving aswell. Also there are furniture that are priorities, such as music players, most beds and the centerpieces like the shower in tabbys house. Other than keeping the centerpieces I really don't care about how original the houses are, just as long as they look nice c:

I try to keep certain homes intact if they're look good, like Ankha and Lucky. Marshals sloppy stuff. I hated Frobert's kiddie stuff and trolled him with funny stuff: backyard pool, hurdle, frog chair, lily pad table. Ribbot has a nice house with sleek and mad scientist stuff, so when he wanted a river fish I gave him a frog. It looks like he's experimenting on it.
