Do your villagers leave the hats and accessories on for more than a day?

I give them something like a hat or glasses and they wear them for maybe one day and then they display it on the floor. Same with umbrellas.

But my villagers aren't really normal lol. I have yet to be asked to change their catchphrases and I've had most of them a month.

For mine I've noticed that they occasionally wear the accessories and hats that I give them, Lobo would wear the pilot shades I gave him and Drago does wear the weird hats I've gifted him too. When I go to their houses they didn't display those accessories they wore in their house, although I've seen Whitney wear a hat I gave her + also display it.
