I’ve seen Studio Ghibli themed islands and i think a Spirited Away themed island but never a Totoro themed island. Have you checked around pinterest?

I don't know if it yet but wow that would be cute. I could see it, lots of giant mushrooms, leaf umbrellas, a little lake. You could make something kind of like the catbus with panels and chairs. You could also do that massive tree trunk thing just with some terrascaping and maybe panels too!

yeah... it kinda stinks when you have to get a 2nd switch for a second island, when/if you don't want to delete your first island... but i'm going to get a 2nd switch :> , so it's worth it ^^

Make sure to make your house look like a traditional Japanese house, since that's what Mei and Satsuki's house is. You need that, lots of trees, a bus stop area with a leaf umbrella sitting by it...
The only downside of a Totoro island is it may be hard to think of ideas to fill a whole island. You could easily do it as a section of an island for sure, either a foresty/traditional Japanese island, or a Ghibli themed island.
