Does anyone know if region changes anything?

So first some context my acnh island is in europe northern hemisphere
but myquestion was does it matter if i am located in na or eu does that change any gameplay?

No it does not change anything, if you choose the southern hemisphere then the seasons are flipped but gameplay is the same.
