I know everyone's focused on NH right now, but I was just wondering if anyone played SW/SH online? And if so, would be willing to critique my team? I got to masterball ranking (so excited!) but I am always looking for ways to improve my teams (doubles and singles).

OR if you are new to online play, I could critique ur team for you! I'm not a professional, but I could try to give you some tips!

You say you're not a professional, but I still think you did a very commendable job making it to the highest ranking (online versus right?)! I just wanted to get that out there :)

I was meaning to get around to it, but interests and lack of motivation lead me to doing other things instead. Plus I want to only use shiny Pokemon online, so I've kinda been stuck breeding those, lol.

Shiny pokemon are tough to acquire, but I may eventually be able to help you out depending on which shinies. I have access to many games which fortunately gives me access to many shiny hunting methods :)

I already have enough shinies to build a team with, I just want more of them lol.

I breed for competitive, but mostly use them to make in game things easier. Bisharp is great for gengar raids. I'm using sets on smogon and serebii, slightly adjusting them for raid battles.

If you really want to make raids easier, just use Eternatus :)

That thing is a beast with its dynamax cannon. Slap on a choice specs and the power goes through the roof because the doubling of the moves power happens after the specs buff as well as any other buffs (like the 1.5x for STAB)

Of course, you could always use its other moves or a different pokemon altogether for anything immune to dragon.

The Machamp raids have ice punch though. I'm thinking Chandelure or Jellicent. During the Toxtricity raids, someone used Excadrill and dropped someone else's Eternatus with an earthquake.

I play ranked singles and its been quite a long time since I've been playing it. I am currently top 30k in Master ball rank (singles) with a competitive shiny team. I still switch out between some pokemons in my team but the one team im sticking with as of right now is togekiss, roserade, eiscue, milotic, excadrill and dragapult! It's a really fun team apart from the fact that it can't counter mold breaker haxorus or excadrill LOL

I thought competitive only allowed for up to three pokemon.

Haha, thank you! I think one of the reasons why/how I got to masterball was by using an unusual team that people were probably confused by when they saw it. Once I got to masterball rank I was having some issues, which is why I'm looking for tips!

Wow top 30K is awesome! That sounds like a great team, although I relate with you when you say you are having problems with excadrill. He has always been an issue for me lol.

My singles team that got me to masterball rank is this:
Clefable, Dragapult, Duraludon, Rotom-Wash, Torkoal, and Gourgeist. My Clefable is my secret weapon- its magic guard life orb with moon blast, flame thrower, thunderbolt, and moonlight (I didn't come up with this myself and found it online, but thought it was a cool idea and wanted to try it out!)

I am also working on this really cool doubles team that I came up with myself!

your singles team is allowed to have 6 pokemon, and you can choose which 3 to bring into each battle

What is your plan for your doubles team? I need some advise on team building and the general meta game of Pokemon SW/SH.

So I wanted to try out a rain doubles team, and I really wanted to use Heliolisk with the dry skin ability. I also wanted to use liquid voice Primarina, so I kind of built my team around that. I've been editing it a lot but right now this is what I have:
(I ended up making it primarily trick room)
Heliolisk- dry skin @life orb
Oranguru- inner focus @mental herb
Goodra- sap sipper @choice band (this one im having troubles with, not sure ill keep it, or maybe ill make it sp att)
Rhyperior- soild rock @kings rock
Primarina- liquid voice @weakness policy
Togekiss- super luck @scope lens

togekiss and oranguru are primarily for support, the others are the main attackers. I can also include moves if you guys are interested!

I found it helpful to make a weather team for my first doubles team, that way you have some guidance, or choose a pair of pokemon who go well together and go from there. Its also good to have at least 2 support pokemon (someone with follow me, ally switch, quash, etc)

YES!!! I LOVE THAT COMBO! I have tried to make a contrary team, but no success yet.:( Any success?

I've actually been trying to breed a counter to the current g-max raids. Bisharp works for gengar. I was thinking Chandelure for Machamp, but it has earthquake.

So we are talking VGC, right? If so I play some, not so much since new horizons but it was at the point I was going to go to a regionals relatively nearby, not that I was expecting to get far. But yeah, basically, I play.

one of my friends introduced me to vgc and is also entering wolfe glicks tournament, getting into vgc myself has made me realize how boring singles is in comparison. ive been working on a trick room team with hatterene, indeedee, sylveon, torkoal, rhyperior and eldegoss but all of that time so far has been gone into shiny hatching for some of them.

Oh for sure VGC is more interesting, at least imo. Also is it a necessity for you for them to be shiny? Because I'm pretty sure I have spare Hatenna and Torkoal (and if not could breed them) also have HA eevee in a matching ball for every evo so that too.

the shinies matter to me a lot because i think their colour schemes look really nice together (shiny eldegoss, torkoal and rhyperior) i also made sure all of them were in love balls because im endlessly picky about this stuff lol. i only have torkoal and rhyperior to hatch now
