I was time travelling for some furniture when Isabelle mentioned May Day. I completely forgot this event existed, was curious if anybody actually remembers the Rover event.
Yes I remember it, it was a random island that was set up as a maze, and you had limited tools, and could get bell vouchers and then Rover's briefcase. I didn't do it until like the day before it ended cause I'd seen what it was online and I didn't know whether I wanted to do it or not cause it looked a bit lame, but I liked the briefcase so :'D
I did it for the briefcase. I love the briefcase a lot and need to find a nice place for it on my island. I don't think I got the bonus bell vouchers though.
I remember it and I enjoyed taking part in it, though I did struggle at one point in the maze I think. I also still have rovers briefcase, situated in the upstairs bedroom of my characters house - I like to think she keeps it there to grab quickly to go off on holiday (obviously not that we can do that in game but it seemed nice)
Wow if you didn't post that I wouldn't have remembered it either. Ask me about last years' event and I'd tell you all major holidays and Bunny Day. But May Day ?
Yeah, I remember it! May Day was such a cute event, though I struggled with the maze and had to start over a few times. The briefcase is still one of my favorite in-game items & I keep mine in my resident rep’s antique-themed bedroom.
I actually do and I really liked it It was nice that they repurposed Rover rather than cutting him entirely. Also I had an easy time getting his briefcase, but the bell vouchers were a pain which made it more of a challenge! I really hope Nintendo maybe updates it so every time it's May Day, you have a chance of getting a random maze.
