Double Post when replying to thread

A lot of times lately when replying to any thread it ends up double posting and it's pretty annoying what might be causing this and how is it prevented x_x (does this happen to anyone else?)

It's weird. To combat this, my computer tells me that I'm leaving the tab? I usually say cancel and it shows as one. If I do have two then I edit it. I just don't like it. :/

For some reason I find it happens a lot more often when bumping an older thread. I don't really know what causes it, but it seems to be unavoidable when it happens.

Same for me on android.

I edit so many posts just to get rid of the double.

It happens alot for me, I use Chrome on my Samsung.

I do what Excalibur has said and it's worked for me. When the site brings up the pop up, click cancel and refresh the page. BAM one comment.

Tbh the double post glitch bothers me cause it's cluttery.

it's a wonky glitch that's been around for a long time. I dont think the staff know how to fix it

Every time I'm on the computer and I type a comment, a box pops up saying something like "do you want to refresh" or something along those lines. If I hit yes, then it makes a double-post, but if I hit no and then refresh the page manually, my post shows up as one unit. It's weird how that works.

I'm sure it has something to do with the server, since this is the only website I use that does it.

interestingly enough, it also saves a draft of the thing I posted (so the double post still exists, just not in posted form)

yes! I thought I must be the only one experiencing this problem but pretty much every time I make a post, the page re-directs me and it shows me as having posted the same post twice when I didn't or it takes me to a page saying error this is a duplicate of a post you just posted. It's extremely annoying but at least I know now it's not my phone playing up on me

I just had the same thing happen to me again and I checked my bells and you're right - it did not give me any bells until I edited my post. Thanks for notifying us about this, that way I can make sure I earn bells for the posts that can earn them!

edit: just realised when editing it just adds the right amount of bells you should've earned and then deducts the rest.. Like with any edit. So even with editing no bells are earned when this glitch happens. And it has indeed been happening a lot lately..

edit: just realised when editing it just adds the right amount of bells you should've earned and then deducts the rest.. Like with any edit. So even with editing no bells are earned when this glitch happens. And it has indeed been happening a lot lately..
