Downloading this today

Was never interested in this game...but now I have almost 10 packs of cards from the update in New Leaf. Is it fun? Any pro tips?

The only tip i have is that:
Don't do lots of houses on 1 single day
I did this when i got the game on christmas day and since i've completed every shops and other builindgs and i dont have other amiibos cards., the game has been collecting dust :s

I did a few houses and did the school. I have to say the game is pretty boring. Really not that into it from the start.
