I was wondering if anyone had any driving apps similar to Waze? Waze can’t calculate routes over 1000 miles, so are there better apps for traveling that give directions like a GPS?
I was thinking about only doing “halfway” at a time to work around the 1000 mile limit. For example:
If I’m in New York, wanting to go to San Jose...
I would first tell the app I wanted to go to, Lincoln Nebraska (or somewhere halfway)
And then do from Lincoln Nebraska to San Jose, CA.

Those are just random locations. It was just an example. Are there any better apps that can calculate more miles? As far as I’m aware, Waze isn’t meant for traveling state to state, just to places close around. Are there better traveling apps, or should I just use my loophole?

or would just purchasing a GPS be better? I would prefer an app just because it’s cheaper though.

Purchasing a gps will be best. I've used plenty of gps apps before and they all suck because they run off of data. an actual gps will use satalites to get your location/destination.

There's some at best buy for roughly 100 dollars. I got one myself, it got me to from Iowa to Texas and then back home again two years later. even phones don't last two years anymore

I heard MileIQ and DailyRoads Voyager are pretty good. I read many positive reviews about these apps. I also found Android Auto app not so long ago, it's a free app so I'm going to test it soon. Currently I use gps.
Thanks! I will definitely have to try those out!
