Has any one asked nintendo about ac:3ds? If so what did they say to you?

Well I did! This is what they told me.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Nintendo of America.

It’s not surprising that you want to know more information about Animal Crossing for the Nintendo 3DS. Believe me, we are every bit as excited as you are to learn more about what’s coming!

Having said that, Nintendo is very careful to only show a game when the developers are ready to do so. Also, we tend to concentrate on showing off products coming out in the near future. This means that you know as much as anyone else outside the development teams about the upcoming Animal Crossing game. We just don’t have any additional information to provide.

Eventually, we will pull back the curtain and share all new and exciting details on our website (www.nintendo.com). In the meantime, however, we appreciate your patience as development continues and ask that you continue checking the website.

Sincerely,

Mike Chandler

Now we know it's just an automated message

There's a difference between something said at E3 and actual production times of a game. They can put a date on anything, however they are not legally obligated to have a game out by that specific time. That's the kind of production that absolutely kills any regional translation in the production transfer from JP to NA or EU. Even if they say that something is going to be released in 2011, they could just be talking about Japan. They're not going to specify either, there's no way to get through an automated system and speak with a real person. There's also the fact that the developers of nintendo are JP, not NA or EU, therefore they have no idea over here where the development team stands in production. The only way to know for sure would be to contact the development team, and that information is so far under wraps by nintendo you'd be lucky to learn their names, much more an email address.

I got something different from Nintendo :

Hello,

It's great to hear from a fellow Animal Crossing fan! We appreciate you contacted us with your concerns regarding the Nintendo 3DS and this game's release. As you know, while a Nintendo 3DS version of Animal Crossing has been officially announced for release, it still hasn't been given a set release date yet. Additionally, we do not have any information regarding demo versions of this game becoming available. As soon as more release information is available, our website's Game Guide (http://www.nintendo.com/games/guide) will be the best place to find it. Once there, use the search bar or the questions on the left to filter based on system, genre, online play, etc.

When you have narrowed your search, click on the game's title to see all the available information. If what you seek is not yet available, please check back later. When there is new information to share on announced games or other upcoming products, our website is the best official source!

Remember, any posted release dates are estimates and subject to change. As a product's estimated release date approaches, you may wish to check with your local retailers to see when it may be available in your area.

Sincerely,

Karen Johnson
