i'm trying to trade w/ someone but can't figure out multiplayer anyone traded before can help me out?

first, you need to add the other person's friend code. tap the orange icon on the home menu of your 3ds screen and type in the code. make sure the other person adds yours too. next, open acnl, go into the train station, and ask porter to open your gate, or ask to visit another town. make sure your 3ds is connected to the internet, of course. hope this helped

oh yeah, and their gate needs to be open for you to visit. and make sure you select "invite guests from a faraway town" or "visit a faraway town"
