Edit: Thank for all the nice comments and price checking help!

I'll probably set up a shop thread next week-ish!

Could I get a price check for how much stuff like this would be in TBT?

I'm in the mood to do some traditional art, and thought it might be fun to open a slot or two cause I love seeing people's ocs, and it would be nice to have some TBT to maybe get some collectibles or acnh wedding items.

One sample is waist-up but I'm looking for price check of bust-up only.
  • Bust-up Lines
  • Bust-up Colored
Also, should marker (1st sample) vs. crayon (2nd sample) be priced differently, or the same?

Thank you!

i don’t have a general price as im so bad at pricing art but as for the question at the bottom i think it depends on how much time and effort you put into each one. if you spend around the same amount of time and put about the same amount of effort in both, then id say price them the same. however, if you spend more time and put more effort into the crayon one, persay, you should price it higher. about how long would you say it takes to make just one of those drawings? some artists on here usually go at a going rate of [insert # of tbt]/hour, basically how much they believe they deserve per hour of time they spent making it. honestly the “[amount of tbt]” is always up to what you generally believe your art is worth. make sure to compensate yourself well and never underprice! there will always be people on here that’ll see the dedication and effort you put and will gladly pay generous amounts of tbt for it. sorry im no help for the amount though, honestly ive never been able to price art either!

Thank you for the advice! I haven't been active on here for a while (since the going currency for art was NMT), and I don't know what TBT is worth in general 😓 Art is always so hard to price (and why I do trades more often), but hopefully someone can estimate a rough number!

Oh my goodness your art is stunning! 🥰💕 I’ve bought a few pieces of art here on TBT so I’ll try and help but hopefully other artists will share how they price things too!

I think the two styles could be priced different but only if one is a lot easier/harder to make than the other. If they’re both taking you around the same amount of time they honestly I’d price them the same. They’re both gorgeous and I think it’ll come down to personal preference what somebody decides to buy.

I generally feel comfy spending around 400+ TBT for art. I’ll gladly pay more if the piece has a complicated background, outfit, or if there’s more than one person. I know your art is waist up only but honestly I still think around 400 TBT is a fair price.

Again though - don’t undersell yourself! If your art takes you a long time, value that. Another member took commissions of their art recently and charged 700+ TBT per character and people paid! I would’ve but I didn’t have enough 😅

Have you looked at other peoples shops? That might help you see how they’re pricing things! 🥰 I feel like the museum has been a little slow lately with commissions but I think that’s because we just had our site Easter event that people were saving TBT for.

I looooove these!
Do not have the spoons to offer pricing advice rn but your art is so lovely <3

Thank you, that's helpful to know! I'll dig around through other shops for reference. :D The crayon and marker take me about the same time, but crayons are probably more colorful cause I can blend primaries to make any color, while markers are limited to the ink colors I have.

Your art is so cute! I love the luminescent quality of the crayon.
Sorry that I'm not very helpful in regards to pricing, but I struggle with the same question. >_<

This artwork is so professional looking, I'd go as far as to say that you should charge RLC for them only. These look like they take a lot of time and love to be this beautiful!

But if you really just wanted to stay within forum currency, I'd say 300-500 TBT.

Thank you! They get a kidsy rep, but I love crayons so much. I probably use the same 8 crayolas I've had for centuries more than any of my "legit" art supplies 😆

Thank you! RLC isn't legal for me (can't work outside my full-time job, and I don't need extra income so rather it goes to artists who do). Virtual stuff like TBT is fine, so it's nice to know a range ☺

I just wanted to say that your art is absolutely incredible! I don't think you'll have any trouble finding users who would love to purchase some of your art with TBT. Best of luck! :)

Ahh I’m so excited you’re setting up a shop!! Can you ping me when it opens? 🥺💕 I’ll hopefully have enough TBT saved by then for a commission! 🥰
