Hi, everyone! I’m thinking of taking on another villager for my retirement community/beach resort in my New Horizons and I’m not sure about another cranky. I haven’t gotten too attached to any cranky that I don’t already have in my New Leaf!

Are there any implied elderly villagers based on design alone and not just on the virtue of them being cranky? I already have Dobie if that helps. 🤗

Walt the Kangaroo might fit what your looking for. I've had him on my island for about a year now and I love having him around even though he is very cranky at times. You'll see him fishing for time to time, but never exercising. LOL

All good ideas! I am compiling a list of candidates, among of them being Velma and maybe even Sandy (she looks tired and is balding with a few gray hairs). I would go for Elise in a heartbeat because she really do be fitting the trope, but I already have two monkeys. 💀 Billy is another great choice, but I have three jocks already! Oh, the horror! ☠️

Funnily enough, I used to have Audie and I really liked her (and she fit my island too well)! Yet I didn’t bond with her as much as I thought I would, and so I let her go. Back to the drawing board for me! 😭

Funny you mention Walt! He’s actually my favorite villager of all time and my best friend in New Leaf! He’s been in my town for years and is my #1 permanent resident on that game! ❤️

I would have him in New Horizons, but since I still have him in New Leaf, he’d be too repetitive. If he moves out for some reason, I’ll scan him into New Horizons.

Needless to say, you have great taste in villagers! 😉
