Hi I'm just curious why the TBT bell is so popular (people sell in game items ect for them). I know there is less TBT bells than AC bells which makes them more valuable, but why do people sometimes rather have TBT over AC currency? Why do some people buy thousands of TBT bells when the most expensive item in the TBT store is only a few thousand (and most around a few hundred bells).
I wonder that, too. I mean, I get earning enough bells to expand your mailbox and upgrade certain parts of your account, but there are some people that trade in-game stuff and bells for TBT bells indefinitely.
I'm not complaining though, it's easy to earn and I can buy cool in-game stuff with it, as long as it's still sought after.
I started buying TBT Bells because I wanted a bigger mailbox. And then I hit a good turnip price ingame and decided to buy some more, just to stock up. And theeeeen I kind of fell into the collectables trap. .-. Limited edition collectable that only restocks at a single certain hour of the day for a limited number of days? I MUST HAVE IT. Even if it originally sells for, say, 100 TBT Bells, the resale value on it might be easily 10x.
It's kind of like hoarding bells/items ingame. I like trying to amass an insane amount of bells ingame, and I've developed the same mindset on the forums too.
