Once he's said he's going to move in, he'll move in.
If you're worried about his house placement you could do the house reset trick but other than that you don't need to do anything else.

Thank you! What kind of furniture does he like? How long have you had him in your town?
Oh gosh I've had him for about a month now I think, but it seems longer because I time traveled so much (I'm cutting down on my time travelling now).
His house looks like a ski chalet/lodge and most of his furniture is the cabin series. When he asks for furniture I like to give him furniture like the stew pots and camping kind of items : )

Actually no, I think it's been about two and a half months! I can't believe how quickly October's gone oh my god.

congrats! I TT'd a bit recently and unfortunately he moved out :'(
I'm so glad you got Roscoe. It is so much fun to find someone we've been waiting for! Roscoe is very friendly and always wants to talk to me. He's nice.

I couldn't stand the waiting, I was too worried he would change his mind. So I TT'd one day at a time, making sure I talked to my villagers and took care of my flowers. He's here!!!!
