Error during gameplay? Help please ! >.<

So I've been playing Animal Crossing for a while, I always properly turn off the system and was playing my game fine earlier, but now when I try to play it crashes saying "an error had occurred forcing the software to close". Has this happened to anyone before?

I'm extremely frustrated because it won't even get to the title screen, so it's not even like I could reset my game if the save got messed up :l And I don't have any other games to test on it which is another problem :l Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Is this happening with any other games? If so it could be your connection between the cartridge and the console. Is it Blackscreening with the message?

Sadly I don't have any way of testing another game :/ it's a white little pop up, no black screen. The game will load with the train in the corner and then crash :l it was working fine earlier. I have no idea what's happened

im sorry, that sucks so much! maybe you could try taking out the cartridge and gently wiping it, then putting it back in again? you could also try shutting it off again :/ but it sound slike its probably just an error with the cartridge.

I've decided tomorrow I'm going to the store I got it from since its only a month since I've had this one, and seeing if a new one works.if it doesn't it looks like Nintendo is going to have to repair it or something ><

*update* took it to the store and they said the whole cartridge is just messed up, it can randomly happen at any point :l

in case anyone else ever encounters this problem, there is no way to get your game back >.<

I've had my receipt thankfully. Otherwise I would have had to send it to nintendo more than likely :l My game was crashing before even getting to the title screen so I couldn't even erase my save file, if anyone knows though how to clear it any other way please comment, it might help someone in the future >.<

i saw this happened to someone once, they went on their 3ds clock and TT to the lats date they played, and it worked! so that might help.

I tried that but it didn't work :/ I've not tried any of this as I found out after getting a new copy, but apparently holding the 4 buttons on the right down helps (I don't have my ds to remember the letters for them ><)

I've also heard power saves help. If you restore a different save it apparently fixes it but I have no idea. I think this is called "bricking your game" ><
