Event question

Is this “easter” event part of the physical game? Or is it like an event that you patch/download in order to play?

Like for instance could one time travel to this specific event or it is a live event? What if a player doesn’t have or use wifi to patch the game, are they outta luck?

(Btw none of this applies to me, these are just the weird questions my brain thinks of at 3AM looll)

You need to start the game (either physically or digital) with a good internet connection, as the game connects to the server to get the easter data. There isn't an update for it (it'll show Version 1.1.1a) and I assume they will disable the event after it's done.
