Bit confused about "To unlock these items when visiting a GAME store, you?ll first need to complete Carrie?s request".

As of yesterday, participating GAME stores with a Nintendo Zone will unlock new furniture in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. The Nintendo UK website advises that the theme will be 24-hour shop furniture, which will include special walls, counters and other items.

To unlock these items when visiting a GAME store, you?ll first need to complete Carrie?s request, then just follow the instructions from the Nintendo website below:

?1. Launch Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer while in a Nintendo Zone. In the game, go upstairs in the Nook?s Homes office. Make your character face the Nintendo 3DS system on the office desk and press the A Button.

2. You will receive an explanation about special design requests. Select ?Yes, please!? to receive the request.

3. Listen to Filly?s request, then accept it.

4. When you next open the furniture catalogue on the Touch Screen, you?ll see that special 24-hour-shop furniture has been added!?

These items will be available up until January 6th, so there?s plenty of time to get down to a GAME store and unlock them. Nintendo has also noted that they will be adding more items each week, so keep checking back if you can.​

With Carrie I guess doing her request opens up the ability to decorate gardens, must have something to do with it...

Yep it is. The MyNintendoNews article got their information from Nintendo's UK website.

I'm glad I saw this thread. Once HHD arrives, I'll pop in to GAME before work and grab the furniture.

Yeah, read about it yesterday so popped into GAME today. It's just a handful of items so I wonder if we'll need to visit weekly in order to get the whole set.

Looks like all the furniture items with the 7-11 logo are missing from the set! How is visiting each week going to work since we have already completed the request? Maybe Filly will show up again saying he has new furnitures and wants us to update his house?

Ah sorry for all the questions but does your game have to be open? Could you just walk into GAME, then out again?

The DLC doesn't work like StreetPass. You'll need to have your game open while in GAME. You'll get the DLC by going to the little DS on the desk upstairs in Nook's Homes. When you open it by pressing 'A' it will tell you there's a new customer (or something like that). It will warn you that you're about to go into a home design scenario. The scene will then change and you'll meet with Filly the horse on the first floor of Nook's Homes, in the corner where you do your consultations. At that point, you should be good to go (i.e., leave GAME), though at some point you'll need to finish up the home design.

I have an american 3DS, so this means I cannot get the DLC through the "home NZ" using the european _The Cloud? Can someone help me with this?
