This is my 5th Fact Blog entry to the StarFall Press. I went over Frozen's successes, facts about the calendar, facts to fight against, and facts about the possible energy resources. Today, I will go over some interesting facts about the numbers.

Have you noticed that a numbers have a lot of interesting facts? I can go over a few. Since today is the 21st of October, I will go over 21 facts about the numbers:

  1. 1 is the only natural number to be neither prime nor composite.
  2. 2 and 5 are the only prime numbers to end with a "2" or "5".
  3. 4 is the first one's digit number to be part of a composite number. 3 is the last.
  4. 6 is the first number to have 2 prime factors.
  5. 9 is the first odd number to be a composite number.
  6. 4 is the only number in English to have the same number of letters as its value.
  7. Of the first 100 numbers, 89 and 98 are the two numbers where the palindrome exists after over 10 iterations.
  8. The first number to have an "a" in the word is 1,000.
  9. 2002 is the last palindromic year. The next palindromic year is 2112.
  10. 2013 is the first year since 1987 where none of the digits repeat.
  11. 1961 is the last year that can be read upside down. The next year is 6119.
  12. 2048 is the next composite number year with only one prime factor.
  13. If the sum of the digits of a number is 3, 12, 21, 30, or any number like that, then you need to subtract 3 from the actual number to get a number divisible by 9.
  14. If the sum of the digits of a number is 6, 15, 24, 33, or any number like that, then you need to add 3 to the actual number to get a number divisible by 9.
  15. All single digit numbers have 3, 4, or 5 letters in their word names.
  16. The first day in a century (assuming that the first year ends with a 1) to not have a single number repeat in the date is February 3rd (which is read as 02/03/01).
  17. The last year in a century where more than 12 days in the year have numbers that repeat in the date is any year ending with a 31.
  18. May has the least number of letters in the month. September has the most letters.
  19. 64 is the first perfect cube to be a perfect square.
  20. All double digit numbers where the ten's digit is the same as the one's digit are divisible by 11.
  21. 2,520 is the least common multiple of the first 10 numbers.
