Hello everyone, pleased to be here.

Before posting I’ve read the FAQ’s and couldn’t quite find the answer;

My daughter has a Switch Lite and we both have a profile, we understand the ‘one island per console’ but my question is about gameplay progress.

I have committed more game time than my daughter currently and have advanced further through the game, my concern is by progressing through the game am I ruling out these features from my daughters experience as I have got there first, or will she still be able to experience the challenges?

A couple of examples are; I’ve shown Nook the five examples of creatures but my daughter doesn’t have that option when speaking with him.

Also I’m now tasked by Blathers to bring him 15 creatures for display in the museum, if I bring them all to exhibit will my daughter then miss out?

Hope I’ve explained myself, Thanks everyone.

If you are on the same island, then the progress you make, such as discovering new fossils and new creatures, will be saved for the entire island, not just your personal profile. So when your daughter comes on to the island, she will be able to see the fossils and creatures that you've unlocked.

The person who made the island first is known as the Island Representative. This person has the most control over the island, especially in the early game. A lot of features are meant specifically for the island representative. It kinda sucks, but there should still be features as the game progresses that your daughter can enjoy. Best of luck!
