Who of the new Gym leaders from Gen 8 is your favorite and why?

While I'm not the biggest fan of Team Yell, I must say that Piers is my favorite here. Mainly because for the fact that he's the first Gym leader who actually use Dark typed Pokemon. Besides this, I also kinda like his look and the fact that the fight against him is more simple than the others (like no Dynamax thing).

I don't have the game (yet) but Raihan is VERY.... VERY hot so I like him. He has a fang, and a hot smirk. I'm falling for him.

On a more serious note I like Melony too! (Didn't think about voting for her.)

Nessa is the true baddie of the whole game, her design is awesome, and Milo is pretty buff too.

But I really liked Opal and Raihan as well, most of the gym leaders are pretty memorable in their own way which I really liked.

Nessa is easily my favourite design from what I've seen, but her gym and battle were kind of bland and "by the numbers" compared to everything else so far. From what I've played too she doesn't have much significance outside of being a gym leader, she kind of just turns up before the gym and hasn't been seen since beating her. She's kinda just there. She may have more input by the end of the game, but I'm not holding my breath given how minimal her existence has been in the game so far.

Opal on the other hand, hate her design but she stood out for being a weird old lady asking odd irrelevant questions and getting overly excited at that dude's pink coat. Her gym battle stood out more since she actually has input in the battle via her questions and buffs/debuffs, something that I can't really think of another example of ever.

 

[Midoriya]

Nessa and Raihan are my favorites. Nessa because she has a great design and I like the way her team is set up, and Raihan because he’s just pretty cool in general and I love the fact that he’s a dragon type gym leader.
